Hello there my dear readers! As promised, here's my GRANDEST GIVEAWAY of the year.
I've been through a lot in this blogging thing: I've met so many wonderful people, had a handful of opportunities, have been trusted by so many brands, experienced ups, downs, lefts, rights. LOL! I think the best learning I got from miss Martha is how you make us pinays appreciate and embrace our own beauty and individuality. That I think became a personal advocacy and ever since then, I have been living this principle out. As a shy, young lady I’ve always been silently following and watching beauty and fashion blogs, one of those is The Beauty Junkee. It’s always fun to watch your tutorials and makeup product reviews and then try it on my own inside my room, hoping someday I’d have my own makeup blogsite but then whenever my inferiority complex strikes in, I always chicken out. Oh, but not anymore! I just opened my own makeup blogsite recently after months and months of preparation, The Beauty Junkee being one of my inspirations. I know it’s not the perfect place for this but let me take this opportunity to thank you for sharing us your own tips and advices on beauty, fashion and even about life. Eversince I became hooked into reading blogs, The Beauty Junkee has been included in my early morning routine. It has also been one of the things that inspired me a lot to make my own blog (just made mine, 2 months old) to share my thoughts and everything around me. I've learned a lot from TBJ! Even though I don't have that much money yet to buy authentic Luxury bags and stuff, I really enjoy reading articles about spotting fakes from original ones. Answer to question:
I learned basic beauty tenets such as loving and working with my morena skin, braving bold colors, and even nuggets of all-around wisdom such as more (whether quantity, cost, etc.) doesn’t always mean better. Most of all though, I appreciated finding the most practical and useful tips and insights that address even the most mundane concerns (for myself, my daughter and even my hubby), I wouldn’t even think to ask. I swear, it’s like epiphany! Honestly, I have to say there is just a heartfelt sincerity and infectious passion that I really appreciate. ☺
What I’d like to learn more about is how to dress for my man while still able to express my own style, especially when our tastes don’t agree. For example: I luuuuv florals but it reminds him of his lola. I like the yellows, greens and oranges, but he prefers neutrals (read: black/brown). Or fruity scents make me happy but they only make him dizzy. And on and on (though to be honest, my best clothes were chosen by him haha). ☺

The Beauty Junkee is my "one-stop-blog"! :D Whenever I feel like checking something out, whether it be make-up, restaurant or even the get-up for an event, I make sure I see first if you already has some reviews or posts about it. :) I am a noob when it comes to these stuff, especially on make-up and beauty loots -- the internet is my best source for reviews as I am the type of person who doesn't really try a new thing without having heard of it. :) And The Beauty Junkee really helps me a lot in choosing -- whether it be expensive or dirt-cheap, haha :D This blog is one of the first pages that I browse whenever I have the time to surf the net -- yep, along with my Y!Mail and FB! :) On top of all, what I really appreciate about The Beauty Junkee is that by reading it makes a Pinay be all the girl that she can be -- she can be beautiful by embracing her flaws. With all the write-ups you have done for the readers, I am sure each one of us has learned how to take care of our skins and be va-va-voom pretty whenever we feel like it. :)

What have I learned from TBJ?
LOTD...EOTD...FOTD.....when I first encountered those abbreviations in TBJ, I was blank and did not know what they meant.haha! I am proud to say that I have learned new terms by reading your posts Martha. :) I love make up, too bad make up does not like me.hahaha! I was in awe at the different kinds of makeup now sold on the market (make's me feel old.).
When I read your posts, I feel like I am with you too (not in a weird way ha). I imagine myself wearing them, especially your FOTD's on eye makeup. I so so so love putting on eye makeup. And I have learned new ways on how to put makeup on.
I have learned that beauty is skin deep. Family is infinite. Dogs are definitely man's best friend (I have 7 from small to large :) ). Love is the simplest form of happiness.
What more do I want from TBJ?
I am a first time mom, and putting on make up hasn't been my priority since I gave birth because mommy duties must come first (and taking care of the hubby too). And I am not updated on the latest trends. :(
I hope you can post more on applying makeup easily, the touch and go kinda thing. Something that a mommy (that's me)who is single handedly taking care of an 11 month old baby boy and wants to look good for her hubby, who is a soldier by the way, each time he gets to come home from his assignment.
And more on hairstyle and organic products too! :)
I am a foodie and looking at those yummy photo's from your food trip's make's me wanna try those resto's.

What I learned from beauty junkee?
I have to constantly go out and meet with clients, and I have a hard time with what to wear. I learned from the Beauty Junkee how to mix and match clothes and bags. I learned what's the latest fashion & trends so that I won't look so drabby. This way, I feel more confident.

I'm a make up lover since college and I love it even more every time I'm reading a make up blog from you. I learned that we should know how to use make up and NOT vise versa. and also as a nail and dayspa owner , a hands-on mom and wife, I learned that I should not forget to take good care of my self too. another thing that I learned from Ms. Martha is to embrace and love my skin color. you know, a lot of girl including me dreamt of having a porcelain white skin like those korean novela actresses. They seem to suit everything. But I'm wrong, in proper choosing of color, and skin care routine plus a bunch of confidence, we , Filipina are much more beautiful than those who have pale white skin people.. :)

I learned to appreciate more the morena skin, you can use any shade of eyeshadow or clothes for as long as you wear it with confidence regardless of skin color and more than make up, what really makes a woman beautiful is what she feels inside and her disposition in life. She knows her priority and even if you're face with personal problems, it shouldn't affect your job or the people around you.

I've learned a lot about beauty and fashion in your blog. I am always in the search for "how to's" with regards to beauty and style and your blog is the perfect teacher! :) You teach all of us how to be creative with colors and never to fear to express yourself.
Being a woman entails a lot of things. We are always bombarded with false advertisements but you keep us away from those and lead us to what really works.
I guess i want you to make your own make up tutorials, as in videos of you teaching :) that would be totally cool!

I learned from TheBeautyJunkee that being beautiful is being confident no matter how stressful life can be :). I've never had the luxury of just being able to take care of myself & get what I need. I made quite a few mistakes in my life and am trying to clean up my mess and become a success. I want to look better, but do not have the money to eat half the time, much less pay for makeup. If I win, you will not only be making me a very happy woman, but you will be helping me take a step toward a happy, successful life, also help me take a step away from the loser I was.

What I've learned from The Beauty Junkee: Blending is a make-up skill that requires patience and it takes a while to perfect. Effortless-looking make-up is achievable. A little risk in what you put on can make a big difference and it doesn't matter what brand you're using. It's all about how you make everything work together.

- As a student, who doesn't earn yet (therefore has no means to indulge on having expensive stuff, especially make-up and beauty products)I found the articles that you share here very useful. You broke my belief that expensive make-ups are the only ones that are of quality and of worth buying. You broke my belief that "rich kids" are the only ones that could be fashionable. I learned that everyone could be stylish, fashionable and beautiful as long as they know what they want to be, what they want to project to the world. You shared all the wonderful products that you've tried and tested and what strikes me is that the bottom line of all that you've shared is that it all depends on us, on the consumer if she really wanted it and if she's really happy and satisfied with it. Hope you could share some health (diet and fitness)in your future articles - readers would love to get more tips on how to be beautiful inside and out!Happy third anniversary!

You blog is one of those I visit when I want to know something about a particular product or brand. I would
type what I'm looking for in the search box on your side bar. I like that you also indicate where you got
the product and how much and that I don't need to search your post for those info as they are always at the
beginning of your review. Your posts have directed me to products that I'm looking for and has helped me make informed choices.
Your blog has also taught me that makeup can be both an empowering and a creative tool.
what else would you like to see in this blog?
- A button on the sidebar of your blog which will link to your youtube channel.
- More makeup tutorial vids. My sister's going gaga downloading makeup tutorial vids lately.
It's frustrating when the makeup being used is not locally available.
- More posts on dupes of makeup not locally available.
- I also enjoy reading your spend vs save posts. There doesn't seem to be a lot of those lately.

To sum it all up, I have learned that beauty is not just about the products you use and how often you apply them, it's also about how comfortable you are in your own skin and how you love yourself despite the flaws. I've also learned that when you apply cosmetics, WEAR IT BECAUSE YOU LIKE WEARING IT NOT BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT PEOPLE WOULD EXPECT YOU TO WEAR. I've also learned that we should stop judging ourselves. If you are regularly judging yourself then there will be no doubt to the fact that you'll judge what other people think of you. :)
