Review: Covergirl Natureluxe Lipbalms

Here's a review on Covergirl's Natureluxe Lipbalms in Anemone, Hibiscus, and Tulip

THE VERDICT:

Tinted lip balms are great because they give you a touch of color without the waxy and heavy feel of lipstick. Some lip balms have tints on them, but unfortunately, most brands are too diluted with gloss and moisture, and you don't really get a lot of precious color.

That's what I like about Covergirl's Natureluxe lip balm. It's very lightweight, gives the right amount of shine, and a good dose of color. It has natural Mango and Shea Butter extracts for soft and delicious lips. It has SPF 15 too.

These sticks are so slim and compact, you could actually slip them right in the tightest of pockets!

Caveat: The top part of the product is kind of exposed, and it is inevitable that you'll hit them with the cap. Look closely. I just made a nick on Tulip. :p (Leftmost lip balm)

Hibiscus

Hibiscus is a pink-lavender shade that looks great on all skin tones. This shade is my most favorite.

Tulip

Tulip is a frosted baby pink shade. It's my least favorite because I don't dig frosted lip products. But frost finishes look great on fair skin tones.

Anemone

Anemone is a warm red shade. It's my second favorite! It gives my lips that 'Just Bitten' stain.

These lip balms are pretty great, not to mention they are really affordable. They're best used alone because they're too wet to be used underneath lipsticks. These lip balms can double as lip glosses too! It's nice, and I recommend it to every beauty on a budget. :)

  1. May I ask if these contain petrolatum? And how many times did you swipe them on your lips to achieve those colors? Thanks!

  4. I haven't used any lipstick in hibiscus shade...i always go for red or pink (like you, I don't like the frosty type though)...hmmm, maybe i should try hibiscus for a change this time...should be good for fair-complexioned ones like me, right? :)

  10. I'm wrong I thought yung Anemome ang may pinakamagandang shade, yung Hibiscus pala ang pinakamaganda! Same here, ayoko rin po ng frosted. Pero all of the shades looks good when it comes to moiturizing the lips!
