Sumptuous Sundays: Krazy Garlik

Hello everyone! Our restaurant for today is KRAZY GARLIK. I have been hearing and reading a lot of raves about this restaurant so I dragged mom here for dinner sometime around last week. I have an incredible love for garlic, and it's nice to know that someone/some company has finally made a tribute to this fine, fine spice!

PRICE RANGE: P200.00- P800.00

Garlic stuffed toy!!!! AAAAHHHHH!!!! S.O. C.U.T.E. I almost bought this, but figured that our beagle will murder it anyway. I hope some kind soul buys you, Garlicky! (I like it so much that I've already named this particular stuffed toy)

So what's my verdict? Click READ MORE and find out, plus check out what mom and I have ordered!

Duo of grilled pork chops with string beans and milky mashed potato.

Best Seller as per the waitress: 40 Kloves Chicken+ 2 bowls of steaming white rice

Stuffed Kang Kong with minced pork meat drenched in coco milk

My verdict? Overrated. I guess I have been reading too much hypes. Another fault of mine was, I ate here with my gold standards.

For one, the servings are too small. The taste of the food is generally okay, but there is nothing exceptional about them. They tasted pretty average, at least to me. The best- selling 40 Kloves Chicken is decent, but not so special. The chicken plate we got was pretty bony and small. :'(
But I'll give credit to the pork chops because it tasted nice, although I wish it had garlic garnishing. (Like garlic chips or something) And as far as I can remember, our experience was nowhere near garlicky. Too bad, I was really looking forward to garlic nirvana when I visited the place.

Again, I don't mind spending on food, as long as it's value-for-money. If I have to dish out P1,000.00+ on a single meal, I'm expecting that the quality of the food should at least make me forget that I have to spend big money. I know you guys are on the same boat.

I would go back here, but not now. Not even in 5 months. But if you've been meaning to try the place, I suggest that you go for it. Give it the benefit of the doubt because in general, a lot of people still love Krazy Garlik and maybe you'll like it too. Well, not me.

If you've tried eating in this place, let me know your experiences. If you've tasted and seen any improvement in their meals' quality, kindly share it with me. (God I hope they do)

hi! we also tried this restaurant recently... you are right, it's pricey, we also ordered the chops, added the fondue and the chinese rice -- all three turned out great (buti na lang) so I'm still recommending that you give it another try =)
