I think the Color Sensational lipsticks are the best lipsticks Maybelline has ever created. As I've said in my Color Sensational in Fifth Ave. Fuchsia review, this new products feels and performs like a pricey one. And by far, it is Maybelline's greatest lipstick line, at least to me.
Color Sensational line comes in over 60 plus shades and various finishes. The Color Sensational lippies I am going to review in this post are the glossy ones in Iced Caramel and Sweet Pink. Click READ MORE for the detailed review and swatches!
Iced Pink is a semi- opaque light pink shade with micro silver glimmers. It makes my teeth look somewhat garish, and the color has a tendency to settle into my lips. This goes without saying that this not my favorite shade among the two. Or maybe I'm just saying that I don't like it because the shade looks a bit off for my skintone. I therefore conclude that Iced Pink will look good on ladies with fair skintone. :)
Here's Iced Caramel. It's a nice MLBB shade. It's a light rose shade with a tinge of beige. It looks very natural, and I think it will suit any skintone.
These lippies don't stay put for a long time due to its semi- glossy texture. But I do like its overall quality: It's smooth, buttery, and very pigmented. Definitely something that will give most pricey lipsticks a run for its money.
I recommend these variants if you're on a budget, and you're into glossy lipsticks. But if you'll ask for my recommendation, I'd say go for the matte variants because by far, this is the finish that has the best overall performance, at least to me.
