Review: YSL Rouge Pur Couture in Rouge Roxanne (16)

Here's a review on Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture in Rouge Roxanne (16)

PRICE: Around 200HKD+ (Approximately P1,100.00+)
PLACE BOUGHT: Hong Kong International Airport
OTHER LOCATIONS: Please refer to YSL's official website

THE VERDICT:

YSL's lipsticks are one of my all- time favorites. They're the most elegant and luxurious lipsticks I've ever known, and the formulation is simply one of the best. It's sad to know that they had to be pulled out from the country. I wish it comes back soon!

Anyway, here's one of their newest lipstick collections: Rouge Pur Couture. Ah, YSL never disappoints me!

FYI, the Rouge Pur collection was inspired by Monsieur Saint Laurent's iconic red-orange-fuchsia palette. It comes in 32 astounding shades. However, during my visit, the only colors left at the Hong Kong Int'l airport were around 5. According to the friendly SA, the Rouge Pur collection sells fast!

16 Rouge Roxanne is a red coral shade with hints of silver and gold. I was attracted to this particular shade because it's beautiful and the name is very significant for me: Rouge ROXANNE. One of my most memorable roles in the theatre was Roxanne of Cyrano De Bergerac. :)

It's a fun shade that gives your face a warm glow.

Texture is very comfortable, and silky and smooth like satin. It goes on smoothly, and delivers an intense dose of color effortlessly. These lipsticks are saturated with color- correct pigments, so what you see on the tube is what you'll get on your lips. It also has SPF 15. It has the Coloreveal technology for color that stays true all day long. Finish is satin, staying power is great, and its natural extracts keep my lips from flaking, and prevents the lipstick from feathering.

A YSL lipstick is like a pair of my favorite heels: It makes me feel beautiful, happy, and confident. It's something that I would always be proud of wearing!

I'd definitely grab another tube when I get the chance!

  11. Hi Martha! Ganda ng color, parang nakakita na ko ng ganyan sa tita ko. I'll ask her san nya nabile yung sa kanya kasi matagal na daw yun e. Same ng lalagyan but the color is sobrang red. Not sure if same as this. Sana meron pang YSL dito :(

Kath: As far as I know, locally, elizabeth arden, ysl, guerlain, and estee lauder are the only brands that have gold- plated lipstick packaging. :)

  13. YSL does make good lippies! So sad that it isn't available here anymore. I'm a sucker for the lip gloss and the touche eclat!

On another note, have you had issues on oxidation of certain foundation types? I find that MAC powders do not oxidize on me, but everything shiseido does even if I put primer! Sayang lang :(
