Review: Inglot Matte Lipstick in 405

Here's a review on Inglot Lipstick in 405

PRICE: RM50 (Around P680.00++)
PLACE BOUGHT: Inglot store, Sunway Pyramid, Malaysia
OTHER LOCATIONS: Please visit Inglot's official website

THE VERDICT:

This matte lipstick from Inglot is one of my most favorite matte lipsticks to date. It glides on easily, has superb pigmentation, excellent staying power, and feels comfortable on the lips overall. Usually, I apply a lip primer prior to matte lipstick to prevent it from cracking on my lips but not with this one.

Packaging: Most professional makeup products have cheap- looking packaging, but not Inglot. The lipstick is housed in a chic steel polished black tube. It's something I won't be shy to whip out from my bag.

405 is a dirty rose shade with a dark brown undertone. It can actually pass off as a brown lipstick. It's a safe color for people working in the corporate setting, and it's a great choice for just about anyone who likes earth- toned shades.

Pardon this gross lip swatch. I completely forgot to scrub my lips! :p That said, it is important to scrub those dry areas prior to wearing matte lipstick to prevent emphasizing them. This doesn't only apply to this product, but to other matte lipsticks as well.

This lipstick has a creamy texture, and yields a soft matte finish.

The only caveat I could think about this is its Lychee taste and scent. It is because I'm no fan of Lychee tasting and smelling products but for others, you might like it.

I really wish Inglot would open here soon because I'm pretty sure a lot of Filipinas, especially makeup artists will love this brand. It's a very affordable brand with a great range of products, and a wide, up-to-date color collection.
