Yishion: Defining Smart, Functional, Versatile Fashion

Yishion, one of China’s biggest retail fashion labels has finally opened their 2nd branch at the brand new The District Mall in Imus, Cavite.

Through Stratworks, the brand had gathered a few Fashion, Beauty, and Lifestyle bloggers to join them in their grand opening. We all have met at Starbucks, Ayala 6750 for the carpool to Imus, Cavite. I don’t normally like going to out-of-town events but for a change, I joined! Thank God for Skyway, we reached the place in less than 2 hours despite the Christmas traffic.

Anyway, let’s get to know the brand: Yishion started out as a manufacturer for various clothing brands in 1997. A few years after, the brand ventured into retail and had a huge success ever since. It is a multi-awarded clothing brand and at present, Yishion has 5000 franchised boutiques worldwide.

Yishion has been well known for its array of clothes ranging from laidback basics, trendy ensembles, chic dresses, smart casual pieces, and athletic wear—all at a very affordable price. They also have a selection of trendy accessories for women and essentials such as socks.

Ms. Joana Chung, Brand Manager for Yishion Philippines.

Little did we know that we were up for a cool surprise at Yishion’s event. Joana told us that there was a Blogger Challenge, wherein we were asked to come up with an outfit from Yishion’s assortment. With a certain amount of gift certificates and 15 minutes on the clock, we have set forth inside the store to accomplish the Blogger Challenge. There were so many good clothes to choose from and we all had a hard time deciding on what to get, that we weren’t able to follow the 15-minute limit! Haha! The winning outfit (and blogger) will receive P6,000.00 worth of gift certificates from the brand. The winner will be announced today. I’m keeping my fingers crossed!

YISHION WOMEN

One word to describe Yishion’s clothing line for women: COMFORTABLE. A majority of the fabrics are made from cotton, and are lightweight, easy to style and wear, and trendy yet never over-the-top—Just the way I like it.

Spruced up basic tees with cute prints and layering. The material of the tees is in between light and thick, which makes it perfect for our erratic weather.

A majority of Yishion’s dresses: Most of the dresses have chic prints combined with lovely textures such as lace, tulle, mesh, and silk. It’s perfect for those who like donning a trendy, grunge, or glam look.

Printed tank tops abound! Pair ‘em up with a comfy cardigan for a neat school look.

Yishion’s Athletic Range for Women: The athletic collection is mostly comprised of jackets: Weatherproof hoodies, cotton hoodies, and varsity jackets. It’s starting to get a little colder in most parts of the country, especially in my area, so I might as well grab one of these in my next trip to Yishion. I am eyeing that bright- colored plaid jacket!

An interesting take on the good ol’ denim vest: What better way to spice up the classic denim vest but with a little lace detail and deconstructed cut!

YISHION MEN

Just like the material of the clothes for women, the clothes for men are very lightweight as well. With respect to the style, almost everything is clean, modern, and simple, yet quite fashionable.

Yishion Smart Casuals for Men: For the guy who fancies looking like a dapper, he’ll definitely find some favorites from this collection. There are great choices for office wear too!

For those guys who just prefer it simple, Yishion has an assortment of classic tees, but with cool prints.

They have cardigans for men too! I have a strong feeling that that striped cardigan will be a favorite amongst Metrosexuals. :D

Speaking of Metrosexuals, they will surely like this fashionable sando as well.

Yishion Accessories: From the looks of this area, you can pretty much tell that Yishion prides on their socks. I have bought a few and they’re currently my favorites. They only have ankle length socks though, but the prints are so cute and most importantly, they don’t fall off!

Casual, boho, or boho+edgy? Which style do you think will suit me?

While we were waiting for out turn at the dressing rooms, we posed for a photo! Any guesses on what clothes my fellow bloggers have chosen?

I had such a great time shopping, and discovering new people (and their styles too) and places. The road trip was absolutely well worth! Congratulations Yishion on your second branch, and to more branches ahead!

After rummaging through the racks and trying on at least five combinations, I finally went for this outfit:

It’s a casual boho dress paired with a denim vest: It’s simple, casual yet a little edgy.

For nighttime, I’ll wear it with black pumps, gold accessories, and a wide belt.

If paired with wedges, it’s a good daytime look.

If I remove everything and just wear the dress, it’s going to be a great piece of clothing on lazy days! The denim vest, on the other hand, can be used as a topper to spice up any plain outfit! :D Love how multitasking these clothes are!
