Why I love Japanese Makeup Products+All- New Bifesta Cleansing Water

Call me biased, but I really think that the Japanese make some of the world's finest beauty products-I don't remember myself disliking any Japanese beauty product I've tried! I guess the secret behind their excellence is that apart from their strict FDA regulations, they try to keep their product ranges small, thus enabling them to focus better on the formulations, ingredients, and product development. (It might be a different case for bigger brands like Shu Uemura and Shiseido though, for both brands have been around for a long time and they got to perfect their products through the years already)

Another good aspect I've observed with a lot of Japanese beauty brands is their products are targeted. Here are case studies:

K-PALETTE
Focus: Eyes and Brows
Products: Zero Kuma Concealer; K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliners; K- Palette Real Lasting Eyebrow Pens

IMJU FIBERWIG
Focus: Eyes
Products: Mascara

DOLLY WINK
Focus: Eyes
Products: False eyelashes; Eyeliner; Mascara

FAIRY DROPS
Focus: Eyes and Complexion
Products: Candy Bar BB Cream, Mineral Powder; Mascara, Jelly Gloss

PROSTYLE FUWARIE

Focus: Hair
Products: Hair Sprays

There might be exceptions to the rule such as Majolica Majorca and Dodo Cosmetics (Japanese brands who have expanded into full- blown makeup lines) but still, these brands know what their star products are and they prioritize them-In Majolica Majorca's case, it's their mascara line while for Dodo Cosmetics, it's Palgantong Theatrical Powder.

Speaking of targeted beauty products, there is another Japanese beauty brand that has been garnering some beauty blog buzz lately--It's Bifesta by Mandom: It's a range of skin cleansers from face and eye and makeup removers to rinse- off foams and gels. The makeup removers (which I believe is the brand's most popular product) are purely water- based, and infused with skincare ingredients. Bifesta Makeup Removers come in four variants that will suit a range of skin types:

AGE CARE- With Q10; For aging skin
BRIGHT UP- for skin discolorations
SEBUM- For oily skin
MOIST- For dry skin

Since you know by now how much I love Japanese makeup products, you could probably imagine how excited I was when I received these bottles in the mail! Wee! Another Japanese beauty brand to try out! :)

You can find Bifesta in Watson's stores. When I'm through with Shu Uemura's Ultim8 cleansing oil, I'll give these babies a shot. In the meantime, do let me know what you think about this product in case you've tried it already!

  3. ahhh you're correct ms. m, although i though k palette was korean hahah parang pareho kasi ng sulat. generally i think asian brands really hold up against its western counterparts. not really sure why pero siguro nga don sa regulations and stuff. pero it makes me think na japanese in general already have greatskin to start with so kudos to them for even refining their cosmetics and skin care line.

as a sidenote, super galing ng kpalette tattoo eyeliner, cause even if mines already almost years old, it has not dried up yet.

  4. Hmmm...interesting. I am thinking of trying out these products now. Before I was hesitant because most of their products do not have translation so I am kind scared. Guess now they have improved their packaging for different customers as I have seen here. Besides, Japanese women are known for having beautiful skin.

  5. Hi! :) I super love Bifesta, I'm currently on my 3rd bottle of the Moist Cleansing Lotion. I love the light smell, and it really removes stubborn makeup, even waterproof mascara. :)

  6. I'm already on my second bottle of Bifesta( sebum variant) and it is my HG make up remover. It can also be used as a toner, and i'm considering using it as one.

Have you tried Tsubasa Masukawa's other make up line called Candy Doll? It focuses on face and lips. The CD Loose Powder has amazing oil control!

Joan: Hi and welcome to tbj and thanks for sharing your thoughts! Yes, I saw Candy Doll in Sasa during my Hong Kong Trip. Wasn't able to score anything from it because I ran out of shopping money haha!

Alice: Hi and welcome to TBJ! Regarding your concern, most japanese products now come with a translation label at the back of the products. Same thing with these makeup removers. :)
