EOTD: In a Hurry+Get The Look

Hi guys! Just wanna share a simple EOTD I did last week. If you're in a hurry and have no time to primp up, but you gotta look your best, a sheer wash of various eyeshadow colors will do! The trick to achieving a decent multicolor lid wash is to choose complementing colors--that way, you don't have to think too much of blending. For newbies, the quickest way to do this is to choose one color in two or three varying hues and intensities. :)

For this tutorial, I worked with the colors Copper, Brown, and Gold. :)

PRODUCTS USED:

BYS Eyeshadow Palette
Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Eyeshadow Stick
K-Palette Real Lasting Liquid Eyeliner
Benefit Brow Zings
Maybelline Hypercurl Mascara (Black)

STEP 1: Prime your lids. Using a flat eyeshadow or blender brush and a light copper shade, apply all over your lid to serve as a base.

STEP 2: Using a blender brush and a dark copper eyeshadow, color your creases.

STEP 3: Using a mini blender brush and a sheer gold eyeshadow, dab it starting on the inner lid all the way to the middle part of the lid to get that "Wide Eye" effect. Don't apply too much because we only need the sheer gold eyeshadow to accentuate the look. Yo may opt to apply gold eyeshadow on your teardrop area too.

STEP 4: Using a blender brush and a chocolate brown eyeshadow, color your outer crease lightly and blend all the way to the above crease to give your eyes some depth. You may want to line your lower lid with the chocolate brown eyeshadow to give your eyes better definition.

STEP 5: Apply mascara and eyeliner as usual.

The final look

This eye makeup look goes so well with red, brown, peach, and orange lipstick shades. :)

By the way, this look only takes 5 minutes to d if you're quite skilled with eyeshadow application, and around 8 minutes if you're still new. :) Hope you like this speedy eye makeup look! :)

  1. This is my everyday eyeshadow look :) I love brown and gold hues, especially if paired with bold lipstick or even the near-to-nude ones. Love this Ms. M! Your power brows look sooo great as usual. ♥

  5. Nice eye makeup look! This is perfect for me who always runs late at work. I'm still new to eyeshadow application, in fact I bought a palette to learn more from Props. ^_^ I'm going to go back reading your blog for eye makeup looks you made. By the way, I really love the makeup look you made last Sunday during the workshop, too bad I wasn't able to see it. I hope you can redo it here. TIA Ms. M!

PS. I learned a lot even though I was late. You're very keen into details, nice teaching skills. :)

  6. Oh I like it Ms M thanks for sharing! I don't wear eye makeup yet on a regular basis but I'm gathering tips and tutorials that I can try when I finally acquire my very own eyeshadow set. Currently I borrow lang. I always feel excited when I read techniques like this. To the uninitiated, like what I used to be, parang one color lang ginamit pero hindi pala. Makeup is sooo cool!

  9. Nice tutorial Ms. Martha. I am still afraid to use eye shadow because every time I do it on my own i kinda get the racoon-ish look. lol.

Will this work for shades of grey eye shadow too?

  11. Desire: Thank you my sweet! :D

Eloise: For my eyebrows, I use either Benefit Brow Zings and my newfound love, MAC Fluidline Brow Gel Creme. Maybelline's brow kit is pretty good but if you'll really ask me, based on my experience, the pricier brow products outperform the cheap ones any day. :)

    Tine: Thanks! :D

Detsy: It will work with any eyeshadow color. :)

Arya: I actually have something similar to that and it's called the 5 common eyeliner application mistakes. But yes, will keep your question in mind. :)

Anonymous: Hi there and welcome to TBJ! Believe it or not, I wasn't wearing any lip product in the photo. But I wore MAC's Russian Red after taking shots. :)

Gen-zel: Thank you! Well, 'Tis better late than never! :D

Kris: True! Makeup is the shizz! :D Glad you liked this tutorial. :)

    Harmony: Thank you. :)

Ohms: It actually depends on your hair color, dear. :)
