Adapting your Makeup Kit To Your School Activities and Surroundings

When I was studying in Dela Salle St. Benilde, my makeup kit consisted of double- duty and heavy products-I stayed a lot in air-conditioned rooms so makeup meltdown wasn't really my problem. When I've transferred to U.P. Diliman, I had to revamp my makeup kit and replace a majority with light and easy-to-use products as I had to walk for blocks and commute via the Ikot and Toki to get to my classes. I've realized that you can't just stick to a general set of makeup products in your entire academic life (or even your entire life)-you must adapt your makeup kit according to your school's activities and surroundings in order for your beauty to survive.

And this is just what I did. I've curated three makeup kits based on the most common surroundings and activities in College. Do you stay all the time inside air-conditioned rooms? Do you have to walk from building to building to get to your classes? Or do you have to commute everyday to get to school? Take your pick from my suggestions, or you can mix and match the products to suit your specific needs.

STAYING IN AIR-CONDITIONED PLACES ALL- DAY LONG

- Air-conditioning is a blessing and a curse: It keeps you looking fresh, but it's also the culprit behind dry and dull- looking skin. If you take your classes in air- conditioned rooms all day, stash some hydrating products in your makeup kit to help lock in or add moisture to your skin.

FACE: ZA Total Hydration BB Cream; Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe Herbs and Rosewater
LIPS: Clinique Chubby Stick Intense; Lipice Mentholatum Lipbalm
SKIN: L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream; Vaseline Healthy White Lotion w/ SPF 24 (To shield your skin from artificial UV rays); Snoe Past, Present, and the Future Eye Serum (can be applied on top of makeup to help depuff and hydrate undereyes)

THE COMMUTER

Commuting is stressful for your skin as it exposes you to pollution and the sun. Remember to keep your makeup light and easy so you don't have to retouch often, and to give your pores a little room to breathe.

FACE: Kiehl's Ultra Light Daily UV Defense SPF 50 PA+++; G-Lish Hydra Mist (cools down the skin); Shiseido Powder Foundation (for quick, lasting, and lightweight coverage); Bobbi Brown Retouching Powder (to refresh your makeup)
CHEEKS: Benefit Cha Cha Tint
LIPS: Benefit Coralista Lipgloss
EYES: Fairy Drops Volumizing Mascara, Waterproof type

THE WALKER

Walking is considered as a form of exercise, therefore it is inevitable that you'll perspire as you tread the halls or walkways to get to your next class. Sweat can reduce makeup coverage, opt for long-wearing (but light) makeups so runny makeup would be the least thing to worry about.

FACE: Max Factor Facefinity All Day Flawless 3-in-1 Foundation (a long-wearing yet watery foundation, primer, and concealer in one); The Balm Sexy Mama Translucent Powder (to blot oil effectively without adding a thick layer of powder); Snoe Awesome Poresome Pore Minimizing Toner (sets makeup and tones the skin, while its cooling effect helps minimize that irritating feeling caused by sweat) Silk Secrets Oil Control Sheet (lets you refresh your makeup even if you're on the go)
CHEEKS: Maybelline Blush 'Em Powder Blush
LIPS: Revlon Colorstay Lipstick (resists fading
EYES: Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Edge Meister Mascara (waterproof and gives your lashes a lengthened and soft look)

That's all! Hope you all liked this post! Don't hesitate to ask if you still have questions. :)
