Review: Watson's Deep Cleansing Nose Pore Strips

Here's a review on Watson's Deep Cleansing Nose Pore Strips

Price: P110.00/pack
Bought From: Watson's
Other Locations: Available in all Watson's stores

THE VERDICT:

If Blackheads cause zits, Whiteheads (which are usually on top of Blackheads) cause grainy, bumpy skin surface and eventually, can lead to  zits. You can get rid of Whiteheads through manual extraction, or shall I say, hand squeezing, but that would mean applying continuous pressure onto your skin aside from the fact that it's painful.

This is where Nose Pore Strips enter the scene. The only brand I swear by is Watson's Deep Cleansing Nose Pore Strips-I've never used anything as effective as this!

WATSON'S DEEP CLEANSING NOSE PORE STRIPS IN DETAIL

Ingredients

One pack contains ten sheets. Since it can remove a significant amount of whiteheads in one use, I only use one strip per week so one pack lasts for 10 weeks on me.

WATSON'S DEEP CLEANSING NOSE PORE STRIPS IN ACTION

Yuck!

The strip has this sharp, citrusy- like scent, reminiscent of Salicylic Acid. The trick to getting the most out of this product is to leave it on your nose for 8-10 minutes, or when the patch is stiff and dry already-that way, you allow the strip to suck out all those nasty Whiteheads. I'll be honest here and say that it's quite painful to remove, but all that pain you'll experience will be well worth because you'll get a super smooth skin surface afterwards!

I've been using it for 3 years now and nope, not planning to change brands anytime soon! :)

  1. I swear by this, too!
Not too cool about the price increase but anyway, it's still all good and the packaging's really cute(anime-ish!). I hope Watsons will make ones for the chin and forehead :)

  2. Have you tried it on other parts of your face? I get persistent blackheads/whiteheads under my chin and near the jawline.

  3. Thanks for this Ms M! I want to try these. Do they enlarge the pores? I'm worried that these will leave me with larger, more visible pores.

  4. I'll try this at home. Im not a fan of a nose strip since I tried one from Pond's which did not turn out effective. it was P20.00 per strip as I can remember but it's now obsolete. that was waaaay back in high school.

  5. Lagi ko yan tinitignan sa watsons but I end up not buying kasi I thought it is not as effective as it claims to be. Hindi din pala maganda yung masyadong brand conscious, feeling ko talaga di effective ang mga di branded. Thank you Ms. M , will buy this later after work. :)

  9. Wow! Three years! I tried this product once and, yep, it really does remove blackheads. What stopped me from repurchasing was that it made my eyes tear up from the pain everytime I removed it. Haha!

  10. I use these too! :) My brother always tells me that I have this weird/kadiri habit of staring at the whiteheads that have stuck to the paper while wearing the "OMG they're huge" or "Wow. Ang dami" look on my face. LOL

  12. I used to love these pore strips, any pore strips really, but I stopped using them when I found out that these only remove the superficial part of the blackhead and that it damages the skin on your nose so the blackheads will definitely resurface.

  17. RedShoetraveller: Saw IWhite's version too, but nah, I'm happy with Watson's! :)

Ohms: Nope, I haven't. Will try to grab one when I see it. :)

    Eloise: :D

Theworkinprogress: Hi there and welcome to my blog! Thanks for your insight. These strips are not really meant to take away everything-just whiteheads to give your skin a smoother texture and appearance-It just prevents your pores from being too clogged. Extraction is still advised to totally get rid of everything. :)

EypolApol: Let me know how you like it! :)

BrownOso: Haha! Oh well! That explains the mystery that is called MAN. :D

Aviva: Same here, but I just got so addicted to the smoothness of my skin after every usage, that's why I always endure the pain. :D

Stephanie: Let me know how it works for you! :)

Rhain: It's not really meant for blackheads, but rather for whiteheads. Blackheads really need to be extracted. :)

    Rizza: :)

Anna: Hi there! great question: Yes, I've tried it too and it works, although not as great if used on the nose area. Methinks the shape affects the product's efficacy, esp. if you use it on parts other than your nose. :)

Marielle: I think I remember seeing that one too from my mom. :D

Kris: It can though, so best thing to do is to apply toner afterwards to shrink pores. :)

Kirin: High five! We should start a fans club for this product haha! :D
