THE VERDICT:
I just found out that Smashbox's lipstick line is literally called BE LEGENDARY. I like the name because it's so positive and it's just aligned with one of my dreams in life and that is to make a mark on this planet. As for the means and how I'm gonna do it, I don't know yet and I'm not searching for it either. At 25, I guess that's quite baffling for some people to know that at this point and at this very ripe age, I'm still clueless. I just catch whatever life throws at me and keep the valuable things, and dispose those that I do not need. All I know is right now, I'm enjoying the journey of my life. Whatever my mission is, I'll just know it when it's there and who knows? It might even knock me unconscious. When I find it, I'll let you guys know. :)

Love Me is part of the namesake collection in collaboration with Curtis Kulig, a famous street artist. FYI, the color of this lipstick is patterned after Kulig's signature red paint.
Ingredients
Smashbox's Be Legendary lipstick is made with a lip soothing, protective, and moisturizing concoction of Shea Butter and Vitamins C and E. Finishes are matte and satin. This is the first Smashbox lipstick I have ever owned.

Love Me is a warm true red shade. Texture has a good slip and it imparts medium coverage in one swipe. It has a very faint vanilla scent and no taste. Consistency is very smooth and rich yet lightweight, and payoff is pretty. Finish is satin.

Love Me reminds me of hearts, Cupid, kisses, hugs, and Valentine's Day- it's the kind of red that symbolizes love. It's dupe-able though, but I can't recall any other lipstick that has the exact same shade as this one. (But I'm sure there's one out there) Love Me looks great on fair, medium, and dark complexions. On me, it has this brightening effect on the skin, and it doesn't look too bold and screaming. Methinks it's the kind of red that you can wear to meetings and interviews because it's a lil' toned down. Staying power is great and lasts for around 4 hours if untouched. The secret to its lasting power is its consistency: It's very emollient, but doesn't slide around the lips. I didn't experience any dryness in my usage and I really like its lip balm feel. I'll be checking out the other colors. :)

The shade is kind of like the one from MAC. I love red shades! My must have whenever I go out without the hint of powder or blush :)

ReplyDeleteMaica: Still a MAC girl, but if you want a satin lipstick that's not drying, this is great. MAC's satin lipsticks tend to dry out my lips sometimes.
