THE VERDICT:

A lot of BB Creams claim that they're good as primer, but nothing delivers perfectly quite like this baby. What I'm loving about ZA 12-in-1 Total Hydration BB Cream UV White is its sheer texture that you can definitely wear under any face base regardless if its light or heavy, and it extends the wear time of powder foundation, thus I like wearing this BB Cream with it!

ZA 12-IN-1 TOTAL HYDRATION BB CREAM UV WHITE IN DETAIL

This non- sticky, color- correcting BB Cream contains a high concentration of SPF at SPF 50+ PA+++, and has powerful brightening properties that claim to brighten skin tone in just 10 days.

Ingredients

This is also the most handy BB Cream I have ever seen. Well, it's not as small as the ones in sachets, but this one is very mess- free. It's a great travel companion if you can't live without BB Creams.

ZA 12-in-1 Total Hydration BB Cream UV White only comes in one shade called Bright, I believe. There's another Total Hydration BB Cream (it's in a pink tube) variant and it has a slightly darker shade. Consistency is watery-creamy, very spreadable, and has a light floral scent. I also observed a slight cooling effect when it touches my skin. It's good at evening out skin tone, but you'd have to layer it on if you want it to completely cover major discolorations-however, that would mean the white cast would become more and more prominent.

ZA 12-IN-1 TOTAL HYDRATION BB CREAM UV WHITE IN ACTION

Bare skin with Etude House Secret Concealer on the under eyes

2 layers of ZA 12-in-1 Total Hydration BB Cream UV White

Obviously, it's too light for my skin tone that's why as much as possible, I try to use it sparingly because it really leaves a stark white cast in photos. Drying time is average and it dries into a non-patchy, dewy yet semi- matte finish.

WORK IT: To use as a primer, apply one to two layers only. Apply two layers or more if you wish to use it as a regular face base. Consistency works best with a traditional foundation brush with not-too-packed bristles--this helps you maximize its coverage.

Set with Shiseido Sheer Mattifying Powder Foundation

It has superb skin softening and hydrating properties, and makes your skin look dewy and fresh the entire day. It lasts the whole day and I get a lil' oily on my T-Zone after 5 hours, although those with extremely oily skin may need to blot often. Aside from extending the wear time of powder foundation, I also noticed that this BB Cream improves its coverage: This thing just absorbs every bit of pigment, thus minimizing powder fallout and lets you enjoy better coverage and payoff.

I like its overall performance, but I find it too light for my skin tone, and I didn't observe any brightening effect within ten days of usage. I recommend this product to those with normal-oily combination skin and even dry skin because it's very soothing. If you want to use it as a primer, just apply a sheer amount so you won't get the white cast-whether you apply it thinly or heavily, this product will perform just the same!

  1. This looks awesome. Love that it's mostly a physical sunscreen.

I might not consider this a bb cream because I'd have to top it off with foundation. But I think it's great as an everyday sunblock.

  2. Rae: Thanks Rae! Yup, can pass off as a sunscreen product. it has color correcting pigments naman, but can only fit those with very fair skin tones. :)

  7. How much product in one tube? It seems so tiny :) But for the price, I guess it's just right.
