Butterfly Twists introduces the new Sienna Collection A/W 2013

Even though we don't have the Autumn and Winter season in the Philippines, there's no stopping international brands from bringing in their bold, sophisticated A/W collections to the country! One of the first brands to introduce their A/W collection for 2013 is Butterfly Twists, a UK brand of foldable, portable footwear.

The launch was held in Straight Up Bar in Seda Hotel. Upon entering, I couldn't help but marvel at all the lovely shoes on display! Here are charcoal gray and Gingham- printed ballerinas.

They also have these super comfy, exquisite suede loafers with mini gold studs, which seems to be inspired by the footwear of royalties. Majestic!

OMG. Wish came true! Foldable slippers! I'd totally get one as I prefer changing into flip flops after hours of standing in high heels. :)

One of Butterfly Twists' notable footwear designs is this: the rollable Wellington Boots. Slim, light, flexible, and ultra portable, you can lug this rain- friendly boots wherever you go. The rainy days are getting more and more frequent and with these Wellies, you're guaranteed that the rain won't put a damper on your style.

The highlight of the A/W 2013 collection is the premium Sienna Collection, a range of stylishly elegant ballerinas made with real leather, intended for women who prefer the finest and most luxurious things in life. (Oh, the word leather got me interested!) Be one of the firsts to see this posh collection after the cut!

The event was hosted by Nicole Andersson. In here, she's wearing Butterfly Twists' foldable Berkeley Boots, which I have been dying to get my hands on.

Mark Quandergherini, one of the founders of Butterfly Twists flew all the way from UK to celebrate with us.

FACT: Normally, we'd expect that women brands are founded by women, and men brands are founded by men, but it's the other way around for Butterfly Twists: This footwear brand for women was founded by men! Butterfly Twists came about when one of the founders, who chose to remain anonymous, lost in a bet and had to wear a pair of six- inch heels to a party as a consequence. Traumatized by all that nerve- wracking pain caused by the killer heels, he, together with his friends, were moved to put up a footwear brand dedicated to providing not just comfort but great style to womankind, and the rest was sunny, happy history for Butterfly Twists.

Here are a few pieces from the luxe Sienna Collection:

Sienna also includes foldable slippers!

Some of Manila's top ramp models have modeled the A/W 2013 collections for us:

My loves who share my passion for comfortable yet stunning footwear, Kumi of My Loving Sunshine and Tara of Chronicles of Vanity.

I took home a pair of chic studded suede ballerinas in black!

What's better than one Butterfly Twists? TWO BUTTERFLY TWISTS! :D
