THE VERDICT:

I think I have just found the dupe (and a natural one at that) of Kerastase Cristalliste Shampoo and Conditioner in Absynthe Bath and Beauty's Hair Goddess Shampoo and Conditioner. This fairly affordable hair care duo feels extremely light on my locks!

ABSYNTHE BATH AND BEAUTY HAIR GODDESS SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER IN DETAIL

Hair Goddess Shampoo and Conditioner are Absynthe's only cleansing products for the hair and incidentally, they're two of their best- sellers. It's free from all kinds of synthetic chemicals and main ingredients are Argan Oil and Emu Oil.

Argan Oil Hair Benefits

- Tames flyaways and frizz
- Natural hydrator
- Antioxidant
- Has a high concentration of Vitamin E that helps repair damage
- Improves hair resilience

Emu Oil Hair Benefits

- Addresses hair fall
- Encourages a healthy scalp, thus promoting hair growth by regenerating hair follicles

In addition, the products are fortified as well with the following natural ingredients.

More about this gentle and all- natural shampoo and conditioner after the break!

Both products come in very easy to squeeze bottles-this is an important packaging feature to me as I hate exerting too much effort trying to get a product out of a bottle/tube haha! To me, it's unnecessary effort so thank you, Absynthe, for keeping your users in mind. :)

It's also thoughtful of Absynthe to include a seal on the products-truly, it helps consumers like you and I in gauging whether the product is fresh or not.

Lookie! The products have these important dates too so you'll know when to ditch 'em. Absynthe products have the manufacturing and expiry dates stamped on the bottles/cartons, although I find this inconsistent-some of my Absynthe products don't have this while some were wiped off.

ABSYNTHE BATH AND BEAUTY HAIR GODDESS SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER IN ACTION

Left: Conditioner
Right: Shampoo

The shampoo has a rich, clear consistency and has clarifying and moisturizing properties-it doesn't dry out my hair. It is virtually non-foaming so you might be weirded out when using it and there is a tendency for you to use more. I've tried using a LOT of this product and my scalp became a lil' oily so I conclude a dime- sized amount is enough-just dilute it in water and pour all over your head. With this technique, the shampoo works better and most importantly, my scalp never gets oily. The shampoo is just okay but I still like using it especially on my dry, brittle fringes because it makes 'em more flexible, therefore the risk of breakage is minimized.

Meanwhile, the conditioner is my favorite. It has this nice, light gel-cream consistency that's oh-so-spreadable and softens hair upon contact. It's super easy to rinse out too! The only con that I could think about is it doesn't last that long on me since formula is not the thick type, meaning you have to get more than the usual amount. To economize, I add a few drops of water-this technique sorta' "multiplies" the product.

Both products have a nice cherry- almond scent which totally reminds me of Jergens' classic lotion. :)

Since it has hydrating properties, it prevents me from getting an all too dried up hair as well as flyaways after blow-drying, and makes hair so easy to comb. Both products feel weightless and they're perfect for my fine hair strands. The shampoo, on the other hand, can work for those with thicker hair as well since it's pretty rich. And since it's all- natural, it may suit those with sensitive skin but still, use with caution. If you have severely damaged hair, you would still need to apply a leave- in treatment along with these products.

This duo works perfectly on fine hair, and colored hair because it's sulfate- free. Just finished two bottles of the conditioner and so far, I'm still loving it. It's also a great interval in between your usual commercial hair cleansing products and an affordable way to find out how Kerastase Cristalliste works.

  7. hmmm...might consider trying this after I finish off my current bottle, I am looking for a shampoo that would suit well with my dry permed colored hair.. They are too brittle and they break easily.. since its natural, I guess I don't see any harm in using this.
    Thanks
