THE VERDICT:

I kinda' chuckled when I learned about the name of this product because I remember telling my boyfriend one time the same thing: Shut up and kiss me. I think we were having a silly argument then. Crazy as it sounds, I love it when those moments happen because I get to be an alpha female, but in a good and cute way. :D

HAPPY SKIN SHUT UP AND KISS ME MOISTURIZING LIPPIE IN FIRST KISS AND GIRL'S NIGHT OUT IN DETAIL

Happy Skin's only lip product at the moment, Shut Up And Kiss Me, is a lipstick crayon bursting with color and moisture. It's got Shea Butter to add moisture, Beeswax to help lips retain moisture longer, and Jojoba and Aloe Oil for natural hydration. It comes in seven pretty and vivid shades.

Ingredients

More about this non-drying lipstick after the break!

Well, packaging's very much like Clinique's Chubby Stick and Revlon's Just Bitten Lip Stains, from the size to the look.

Shut Up And Kiss Me yields a satin finish and coverage is medium to full. It has a melting texture and covers lips very evenly-in fact, it can somewhat fill in fine lines for fuller lips. It moisturizes upon contact and has a faint vanilla scent. Texture is in between creamy and waxy, and feels a lil' heavy on the lips though so I would advise no more than two layers.

HAPPY SKIN SHUT UP AND KISS ME MOISTURIZING LIPPIE IN FIRST KISS AND GIRL'S NIGHT OUT IN ACTION

First Kiss

First Kiss is a bright pink shade with a rosy undertone. It's a good dupe for Bobbi Brown's Creamy Matte Lipstick in Hot, but this color is a tad bit warmer.

First Kiss is your average and pretty safe bright pink lipstick on laid-back days or whenever you want to feel sweet and pretty. It brightens up the face, but it ain't staggering.

Girl's Night Out

-Girl's Night out is a plum shade with a violet undertone.

Are you thinking what I'm thinking? It's a near dupe of MAC's Rebel Lipstick! This sultry color is indeed perfect for night outs, and can be worn during daytime as well along with a fresh makeup look.

These lippies have very good staying power as they come off gradually and leave your lips with a nice stain, although they tend to look a lil' streaky when they start wearing off so be sure to clean up with soft tissue to get the stain effect. I've experienced zero dryness when I wore these lippies and despite the waxiness, they still feel comfortable. If you want something that's more pigmented than Revlon's Just Bitten Lip Stain and less slippery than Clinique's Chubby Stick, this is the perfect choice. This is the second Happy Skin product I'd recommend aside from Don't Get Mad Get Even Liquid Foundation because quality's great and it has dupes for some of my favorite (but pricey) lipstick shades.

  1. I've been reading a lot of good reviews about these babies ever since last year. Even my friends have these lippies. I should jump into the bandwagon soon and get myself one of these.

Both of these colors look flattering on you. I love First Kiss but I have so many pink lipsticks already that I might opt for Girls' Night Out instead since I don't have any plum colored lipsticks yet! :)

  6. Yay! I love Girls Night Out! :) This one is a good dupe for Mac Rebel. I've only tried their Get Cheeky with Me, and I think this will be next. Hope they expand their products soon.

  7. Both of them are really beautiful shades! I prefer the First Kiss of course since it's a little more universal and can be used without much fuss. I think Girls Night Out is also pretty but it would require the correct outfit and event.
