THE VERDICT:

Lip stains are vital to my workout makeup regimen so I won't look as if I'm going to pass out due to the intensity of the exercises haha! My latest favorite is Makeup Academy's Kissproof Lip Stain because not only it is Kissproof, it's long-wearing and saliva- proof (I'm gross, I know) too!

This product claims to contain hydrating Panthenol that helps prevent dryness. It comes in three shades that were selected to just enhance your lips' natural tone: Fabulicious (rose-pink), Kissalicious (Pink), and Fruitilicious (Pink Red).

I love this product because it comes in a pen- type packaging with a felt tip applicator-you just take out the cap and apply it on your lips anytime and anywhere. The only issue here is hygiene: Felt tip applicators are highly absorbent so it's possible that there are traces of saliva that get absorbed into the applicator so I would highly recommend that you wipe it clean before storage and clean your lips (water will do) before usage.

More about this heavy duty but super affordable lip tint after the break!

Fruitilicious is a deep pink-red shade, which compliments tan and dark skin tones very well. Coverage is medium to heavy and it has this strawberry scent. It's a quick- drying liquid, but I find the payoff a little streaky so I apply it using downward strokes to get a more even finish.

It doesn't really stay put the whole day, but it lasts for around 5 hours even if used in intense activities such as swimming and working out. Despite the runny, watery consistency, I find that it isn't hydrating so you would need a lip balm or lip gloss on top to inhibit dryness and flaking. It's very affordable, works nicely, and above all, sanitary because it's only intended for your lips, unlike dual- purpose tints for the lips and cheeks that come with a single applicator only. It's super convenient and I see myself buying this product again! :)

  1. Another tint! Yay! By the way, it reminds me of Revlon's lip tint that is similar to this one. :)

  2. Hmm it kinds of look like a marker with the packaging, but I like that it can be used even when swimming and during workouts.

  3. I have also tried lip stains like the one from ELF, yes they indeed last longer than lipsticks and can withstand eating and sweating. And yes they aren't that hydeating and causes my lips to crack so I have to layer it with lip balm. Thanks for the review, now I know that most lipstains have the same performance level. ;))

  4. yay!! another liptint review. one thing i dont like sa mga liptints is nakakadry sila ng lips, for me ha. and a lipbalm is a must. and what i really like for liptints is the staying power plus not so hard for me to blend and apply pag nagmamadali ako :) nice review Ms.Martha .. looking forward for more liptint reviews.. hehehe

  7. Silly question, but do felt-tip tints/stains dry out or get cloggy like markers do? Hahaha.

I've only tried the doe-foot and brush-type applicator so far. Curious about felt-tip.

  8. Jesselle: Also Covergirl's Outlast Lip Stain!

Matromao: Nope! Because product is very watery, although it has a tendency to dry up if left without a cap for a long time. :)

Aegeanna: I have a lot of lip tint markers, actually, because it's super easy to use. :)

    Aiko: Thanks for sharing! :)

Majorie: You're welcome. Lip stains should always go with lip balm or gloss in my opinion to inhibit dryness. :)
