Céleteque Acne Solutions Acne Spot Corrector Gel Review

Here's a review on Céleteque Acne Solutions Spot Corrector Gel.

Price: P169.00
Bought From: Free
Other Locations: Available in leading drugstores and departments stores

THE VERDICT:

I've some readers who swear by this product so I thought hey, why not give it a shot! It's affordable anyway!

I bought it as an alternative to Kiehl's Blue Herbal Spot Corrector and for travels too because size is very space- friendly. Céleteque is one of the effective local skin care brands around so I trusted that this product will deliver, and it did!

CÉLETEQUE ACNE SOLUTIONS ACNE SPOT CORRECTOR GEL IN DETAIL

Acne Solutions include a Facial Wash, Toner, Moisturizer, and even a Back Spray for Bacne. It uses Salicylic Acid, a form of Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) to treat acne. I smiled when I saw that its key acne- fighting ingredient is Salicylic Acid because it's the only one that works best on my pimples!

 Ingredients
`
It also contains good ingredients such as Panthenol, Witch Hazel, Horse Chestnut extract, and Niacinamide. Tea Tree Oil is also present to back up Salicylic Acid!

More about this good and affordable acne- buster after the cut!

It comes in a small 5ml tube. Some of you might say that it's way too small, but would you really need a very big tube for pimples? Beside, it's only P169.00 and a small dot goes a long way!

CÉLETEQUE ACNE SOLUTIONS ACNE SPOT CORRECTOR GEL IN ACTION

It's a milky gel with a rich consistency. It has a slight acidic scent and stings for a bit upon application, which I'm expecting to happen actually! The stinging sensation gives me the feeling that it's working that's why I love it. The sting goes away after a couple of seconds and afterwards, it forms an invisible, slightly sticky barrier to ensure that the area where you applied it is covered and protected. The stickiness isn't bothersome though! It works best on small zits and those with the white eye coming out already-takes two days, tops, for the product to dry 'em up completely. (Same turnaround with some pricey pimple treatments I have tried) I noticed that it kinda' reduces inflammation overnight, which makes acne a little more bearable! For cystic zits, it might take around four days or more though. I like that it doesn't leave me with a post- acne mark because it doesn't contain Benzoyl Peroxide. It even works decently on bacne. (I tried it!)

It's cheap stuff that works, a drugstore gem that you should keep in your list if acne is one of your problems. I'm also glad that there's a super affordable pimple treatment locally that doesn't contain that skin- darkening Benzoyl Peroxide ingredient. I believe it's just a mild treatment that's suitable for tolerable acne, but if you're predisposed to grave breakouts (e.g. genetic acne), maybe you should try seeking professional help from a dermatologist first before experimenting with over-the-counter acne treatments.

  1. I've tried this when I was suffering a really bad breakout back in my first years in college. I've read a lot of good reviews about this before making my purchase. I remember purchasing my 4th and last tube of this. I think that it's just an okay product but maybe it's because I've tried a lot of acne gels already that performs better. Buti it worked on you! :) Thank you for sharing Ms. Martha!

  2. Oh! I'm using Celeteque during my college days, and I gotta agree that it's one of the drugstore brands that actually works. I'm definitely trying this one! I'm excited to see that cover thingy that it forms on my acne. Haha

  3. It really works on bacne, sis? :O I am on my first bottle of Celeteque Bacne Spray from Sample Room. It does dry bacne and it also has a strong smell. I guess, it's because of the ingredients mixed by Celetque! :))

Does this one dry the acne too for 1-2 days?

  4. Celeteque! I swear by this range, especially the toner and this spot treatment. I even recommended the spot treatment to my younger sis who had a big, angry zit on her forehead just when summer vacation started (must be because of stress due to last quarter exams, hehe)

  5. I'm never pimple free, its my worst enemy since high school. I was suppose to try out Avon's pimple corrector until I read your review. I've been seeing this a lot but haven't thought of buying it since I'm not sure if it'll be effective on me. And I'm really scared to put anything on top of my pimple. But after reading this, I'm sure to give this one a shot. Thanks for the review Ms.M! :)

  7. For the occasional breakout I use Celeteque's Acne Solutions gel facial wash and moisturizer, and if it gets really bad, I add this spot treatment gel to the mix. It really dries out and clears me out in a couple of days!

  9. I use the spray from Celeteque to treat bacne, and it definitely works and yes it also has a sting upon application. I have also tried Eskinol spot corrector which also has the same effect with this product, dries pimples in 2-4days tops! ;)

  10. DearKaaatt: To be honest, i still prefer my pricier acne treatments than this, but i see myself purchasing it when i don't have a budget for the former haha!

Majorie: Yes, that thing works too! Eskinol used to be my favorite too, but i discovered that it darkens the area where I put it on. :(

Jen: Hi and welcome to my blog! Celeteque has good products and the best part is it's proudly Pinoy too. )

Becomingsleek: The acne solutions facial wash is a have of mine too-love that it's mattifying, but doesn't dry out my skin! :)

Leilani: Wee! Glad it worked on you! :)

Lei: Hope it works on you! :)

Jesselle: I could relate! I get breakouts too when I'm stressed at work haha :D

Trish: It depends on your skin's reaction. On me, it dries up my pimples in 1-3 days. :)

Rizza: If theres one drugstore skin care brand that I think would suit my skin, it would be Celeteque :)

  12. I'm a fan of Celeteque. I've got products from their Anti-Aging, Brightening, and Hydration lines. Yes, they are drugstore gems, especially the brightening eye cream.

I'm just really glad to see that more more brands are cropping up with hypoallergenic offerings at affordable prices.

BTW, also tried Eskinol and it did "burn" my skin. Area where I put it also darkened. :(

  14. My skin is really sensitive. The only product that works for me is Cetaphil soap and cleanser. Their moisturizer though broke me out. I read about Celeteque and have been wanting to try it. After I read your blog, I bought the products. I hope this works for me too. :)

    1. Hi, looks like you've developed a mild reaction to the product. I suggest that you stop usage and look for something else, and seek your dermatologist if any problem arises after.
