THE VERDICT:

I'm having a slight headache today (I guess I've spent too much time in front of my laptop last night!) so I can't think of any good opener for this review, so hope you don't mind if I go straight to the product! It's so not me to just be straightforward when it comes to reviews, but oh well, we all have our days! (Oh there, I have an opener already! :D)

K-PALETTE 1 DAY LASH PERM VOLUME CURL MASCARA IN DETAIL

This product is the volumizing (obviously) counterpart of the 1 Day Lash Perm Long Curl Mascara. It promises to give you long, lush lashes in a waterproof but washable formula. It comes in one color, Black. K-Palette also said that it's infused with beauty essences to condition lashes.

 Ingredients

More about this product after the break!

This product features a unique paddle- shaped brush for customized definition. Let me tell you about it:

This is the side of the brush. It contains smaller bristles with even spacing-use it if you want medium volume plus length.

Here's the face of the brush-it has more compact bristles and has a flat/curvy shape. The flat side allows the wand to deposit more mascara onto your lashes in one stroke, and the slightly curvy body follows the natural curve of your lashes so you can catch your lashes in one go-use it if you want more volume with medium length.

The mascara has a very wet mousse consistency at first and I found it a lil' hard to work with in the beginning: it didn't cling onto my lashes exactly the way I wanted and I got more length than volume until the consistency turned a lil' solid and creamy. It has no scent though and at least it doesn't give me crunchy, flaky lashes, and the flexible consistency prevents lash breakage.

K-PALETTE 1 DAY LASH PERM VOLUME CURL MASCARA IN ACTION

Bare lashes

One Coat

Two Coats

Three Coats

Apply no more than three layers as it may feel a lil' heavy and has a tendency to weigh lashes down-I wouldn't recommend it to gals with thick and droopy lashes, but those with semi-sparse and thin lashes, yes. You also have to curl your lashes during wear too, maybe once. One good thing about it is its jet- black color that really gives lashes a darker and deeper hue, and notice that it makes me look as if I'm wearing eyeliner. Also, it has a very long shelf life and tends to work better as it ages just like Fairydrops' mascaras. If you have this, keep it for a while to know how it truly works-well that is if you don't really follow the rules of makeup disposal!

It's long-wearing enough and I love that it slides off easily with warm water, although I get slight smudges on my lower lid when I used it in one of my workout sessions-it wasn't that grave though and a swipe of powder was enough to cover the boo-boo!

It's an easy-to-remove mascara that gives decent everyday definition, but I would suggest something else if you're gunning for a dramatic look. Aside from those with semi-sparse, thin lashes, I think it will also suit those with brittle lashes because it has conditioning ingredients plus texture is pretty soft!

  1. It really does a good job at lengthening the lashes! But I don't think this is for me. My lashes are pretty long but they grow straight down :( so I try to avoid mascaras with heavy formulas. I think I'm going to check out first that Fairydrops mascara that you've mentioned.

  2. I've been looking for good K-Palette mascara reviews since I want to know just how good it is and how true is it to it's claims. It does seem like an okay mascara but just not the best out there. For a whole day, how long does it last?
Thanks again for the review Ms.M! and do take care of your self!

  3. I've heard good stuff about K-Palette but I haven't tried any of their products pa. As for mascara, I'm, currently, inlove with my Maybelline :)

  4. I'm very impressed with Japanese makeup that stays on forever but easily rinses of with warm water. I haven't owned one of those special products yet, but I'm on my way. Choosing between the wash-off primer or a wash-off mascara, but I'm likely to start with the mascara.

I haven't had the pleasure of trying K-Palette eyeliner as I have weird eyelids that roll back into monolids when I don't get enough sleep. Mascara, however, is a staple, and this one I wouldn't hesitate to invest it--especially since you mentioned that it works better as time passes. :)

  5. I love it's packaging. I think it's good enough for a mascara. But I guess I'll just stick with the Benefit. Anyway, nice review. Thank you for this.

  6. Does it clump when it is reapplied after a few hours? I just wanna ask because sometimes I want to reapply mascara just to give a little something to my lashes before a meeting or an event. Thanks! ;)

  8. I have to agree with you regarding the packaging! I love purple. Hihi. (That's why) ;) The bristles and the curvy shape seem to do their job. But is it really not flaky, sis? Why does it seem like it is. Oh maybe, just in the photo. I am planning to check out Benefit Real! Mascara. I googled it, and saw your review about the Benefit Real! Mascara :) To be honest, I like it more :)

  9. I have thin and sparse lashes. And i like the fact that it also suits the one with brittle lashes because Im always afraid when Im removing my mascara bec I always end up having falling eyelashes. I aso like the wand, it is curved for better application.

  10. Yeah, I like that it makes you look like you're wearing an eyeliner, but I cannot tolerate a heavy feeling on my lashes. Though I like the idea of the brush uses.
