Belo Essentials Kojic Acid + Tranexamic Acid: There’s a Better Way To Whiten Skin + First Impression

Dr. Vicki Belo has been around, making every person-from stars to the general public-look and feel their best through her tried and tested skin treatments and beauty regimens. She’s been around long enough that her last name, Belo, is now a household term that is associated with beautification. When you hear someone say “Magpa-Belo ka.”, it could only mean one thing: to beautify or enhance your appearance.

Dr. Vicki Belo is also known for always seeking the unique and what we have right here is just another testament of her unmatched passion and drive in breaking new grounds in the beauty industry: Belo Essentials Kojic Acid + Tranexamic Acid Intensive Whitening Bar.

Kojic Acid has always been the go-to choice for women who are yearning for whiter skin, but it could only go so far as there are skin types that do not respond to such compound and stubborn dark spots that need more than just lightening. Recent scientific studies have finally put Tranexamic Acid, this little known peptide, right on the spotlight. Why? I’ll tell you when you click READ MORE.

Tranexamic Acid was commonly used surgeries to inhibit bleeding, but it has been found that it is also a brilliant solution to hyperpigmentation. How? According to Claudia McDonald’s article ‘Tranexamic Acid For SkinLightening’:

Tranexamic acid evens out the skin tone and reduces melanin production by 32%. It is also a tyrosinase inhibitor which further slows the production of melanin within the skin reducing dark spots and evening out pigmentation.

It goes deep into the skin and breaks down melanin formation-which is something that regular whitening agents cannot penetrate to aid the whitening process. Aside from that, Tranexamic Acid also reduces inflammation, (which is a common side effect of whitening), is hypoallergenic, anti-inflammatory, and non-irritating.

Belo Essentials Kojic Acid +Tranexamic Acid Intensive Whitening Bar can be used on the face and body, and it promises to lighten skin intensively on the outside with Kojic Acid and on the inside with Tranexamic Acid all while reducing irritation and inflammation-let’s just call it a potential, gentle whitening solution. It’s only P59.75 for a 65g bar. I received a couple and tested one on my underarms right away!

Here’s my first impression:

I like how compact and small this bar is: It’s pretty slim and toteable, and size is pretty small, which is just right for me-I hate it when I get the feeling that it will take me forever to finish a bar of soap. It’s in a sunny shade of orange so you can definitely spot this easily on the shower caddy. What I like most about its packaging is the case can serve as a soap dish and it won’t be a problem if you don’t have one in your shower.

The product has a fruity fragrance and it foams up easily. The way I use this, I rinse each underarm for a minute and leave the foam on for 3-5 minutes before rinsing. Been using it for a week now and I did not experience any stinging or burning sensation nor redness, and I noticed that my skin got a little softer, although not lighter yet. Like everything else, it needs time and I shall use it for a while and will get back to everyone with my final verdict.

Belo Essentials Kojic Acid + Tranexamic Acid Intensive Whitening Bar is now available in all leading department stores, drugstores, and supermarkets. Just visit BELO ESSENTIALS on Facebook if you need more information about this product.

  1. OMG! I smiled when I saw the title of today's post :)) Lately I've been meaning to try KOJIC soaps out in the market for I've heard lots of testimonials about it. This review is just perfect in time however the only thing that's stopping me right now is the safety of it for pregnant women.

  2. I asked belo essentials if pregnant women can use this. And they answered that they dont recommend any whitening products to pregnant women. But still, dahil matigas ang ulo ko at excited akong i try ung sample ko, ginamit ko parin. :)) this is a good product. I noticed micro peeling in one week.

  7. this is so affordable! Would recommend this to my mom since she's a big fan of whitening soaps and sometimes it does to harm her giving her skin irritations because she buys anywhere! Since Belo's been there and a lot of people us their products and celebrities as well, this is surely safe and effective.

    1. Hi there!

If you have uneven parts, yes you can use it. You can also use this bar to maintain fairness in my opinion.

As for the whitening effect, this will depend on your body's reaction to the product, frequency of usage, and it will also help if you will use the entire line. :)

    1. Hello there! Not really sure if you can continue when you start to peel. Please ask Belo Essentials on Facebook for this.

Micropeel, in general, lasts for about a week or two, depending on the cell turnover of your skin. :)
