Daylong Sunscreen by Galderma: Daily. Deep. Complete.

I don't know where people got the idea that sunscreen is only a skin care product for summer-this is sheer heresy because the sun doesn't only come out during this season-even on a cloudy or rainy day, Mr. Sun is out and so are his buddies, UVB and UVA. Oh, before I forget, I should mention that there's a new, certified proven harmful ray in town called IR or Infrared Rays, or the rays that emanate from your computers, tablets, cellphones, and indoor lighting.

Everyone should be educated properly that sunscreen could be the only skin care product that will save our skin-it's time for everyone to adopt a healthy skin habit by using sunscreen everyday and brands should promote this too.

WEAR.SUNSCREEN.EVERYDAY. This is a newfound mission of Galderma, the makers of Cetaphil-they want to make wearing sunscreen 'in' all- year round with Daylong, a sunscreen range that's specifically formulated for everyday use.

What's so special about this sunscreen range? Click READ MORE to find out.

Daylong is comprised of five sunscreen variants that will suit any skin type of adults and even babies. Not only that, it is the first and only sunscreen range that's proven to protect your skin deep down, all the way to the cellular level where most sunscreens cannot reach. It's like this: Regular sunscreens only provide a layer to protect the epidermis and that's it-most of them do not provide internal protection when the UV rays penetrate the sunscreen barrier. According to Cetaphil, Daylong's sunscreens are made to sink into the skin and protect you from UV rays from the inside and out. Also, Daylong-according to clinical studies-is the only sunscreen range that can protect you from UVA, UVB, and IR or Infrared Rays.

Here's the complete line-up:

Daylong SPF 50+ Light Gel Sunscreen For Face and Body (P620.00)

- Light, greaseless, non- comedogenic lotion for the face and body with high SPF protection.

Daylong SPF 30 PA+++ Liposomal Spray for Face and Body (P1,290.00)

- Liposomal is a lotion formula that's very light and easily absorbed, thanks to its composition that mimics the skin's natural moisture. The balanced ratio of oil and water helps catch UV rays and disperse them right before they enter the skin.

Daylong Kids SPF 30 PA+++ Cream Sunscreen For Face and Body (P950.00)

- This sunscreen is only made up of pure, physical sunscreens, which makes it suitable for babies with dry, sensitive, and hypersensitive skin.

Daylong Kids SPF 50 PA++++ Liposomal Sunscreen For Face and Body (P1,430.00)

- The pump is made to dispense the right sunscreen dosage to protect baby's delicate skin. It also features a chart that informs parents on how much sunscreen baby's skin needs.

Daylong After Sun Repair For Face and Body (P890.00)

- A liposomal lotion formulated with a DNA enzyme that supports the skin's natural repairing process. Contains Vitamin E, Glycerin, and Dexpanthenol.

If you're thinking that this 'light, everyday sunscreen' thing is too good to be true, check out the Liposomal Lotion for the Face and Body-it feels and looks so light that it puts light body lotions to shame! :)

As always, Galderma's products are non-comedogenic, fragrance- free, safe for sensitive skin,  and dermatologically- tested. Daylong is now available in all leading department stores, drugstores, and supermarkets. Just visit DAYLONG PHILIPPINES on Facebook for more information about this range.

  1. My sister once asked me why I'm still slapping on sunscreen on my face when it's literally storming outside. I guess it's a common myth that if it's raining or if it's a cloudy day, it's okay not to wear sunscreen. THIS IS NOT TRUE.

Anyway, I've been a Galderma baby since adolescence. Their products are my go to products for facial skincare. Currently I'm using a Japanese brand for my sunscreen, but I'm dying to try this especially this one is sooo much cheaper. Just want to know how's the white cast for the facial products? My problems kasi minsan is that some sunscreen leave an ugly white cast on my face na para talaga akong multo haha.

Thank you for keeping us up to date on products like this!

  3. I love Cetaphil. It's really effective, and safe for the skin. It's odorless so those who are sensitive to scents would surely love this. The sunscreen line is a good innovation. True enough, we only use sunscreen when summer or when we'll be exposed under the sun for a long time. Or we only use suncreen for the face as a lot of makeup products now have sunscreen with it. The after the sun lotion is quite interesting as well. :)

  4. A light sunscreen that's actually light? Whoa there!! My mom's a derma and she keeps making me kulit to wear sunscreen every day but most sunscreens are just so... bleh... ang bigat ng feeling. But I love, love, love Cetaphil's latest products. Have you tried their foam wash for oily skin? It's AMAZING.

  5. I'm very meticulous when it comes to sunscreen. I have to know first if it contains everything I'd want my daily sunscreen to contain and make sure if it offers hardcore(uhm) protection. It's nice how this range offers better protection compared to other sunscreens. Cetaphil is one of my most trusted brands and I remember how much I loved using it as my daily cleanser so I do expect a lot from this line. :) It's nice how this line offers various sunscreens to choose from to address your particular concern may it be for after sun care, daily use, or for kids. :)

The Daylong SPF 50+ Light Gel Sunscreen is now on my list! Does these yield the famous white cast?

wow ha! I like the way that was stated "looks so light that it puts light body lotions to shame!" It is Cetaphil people, no more explanation needed.

  8. Shary: Hi there! Good question. White cast is very minimal and it doesn't affect any of my face bases at all. :D

    Majorie: Agree!

Eddielli: If you have oily skin, try their foaming cleanser for oily skin-it's good!

Cath: Nope! Not at all! :D

Jessy: Oh yes I did, but it's so pricey huhu! When I get my paychecks, I'll definitely buy one. :D I'm loving this sunscreen because it's super light and I know you will too. :D

Abegaill: Thanks for the comment! You gotta try the light gel sunscreens for the face and body-they're amazing!

  10. I have the worst habits when it comes to sun protection. The sad part is I'm well-aware that sunblock should be an everyday thing. Not only that, it has to be reapplied every couple of hours when in the sun. Then I'm the silly one who always forgets to bring sunblock in my bag.

I visited the derma recently, and she emphasized na sayang nga skin ko if I don't use enough sunblock. I still forget sometimes! The sunblock sprays are a big help to forgetful ladies like me. At least, madaliang spray na lang instead of having to slather on the lotion. Especially if it's too hot or clammy from the rainy season, nakakatamad kasi maglagay. Who wants that sticky feeling, right?

Love how the products are packaged simply but medyo modern din. And, of course, Cetaphil. Trusted na yan. --Matromao

  11. Foodworldme: Me naman, I don't reapply sunblock during the day that's why I make sure all of the products I use, from the primer down to the setting powder, has SPF. I know layering SPF can't guarantee complete protection (plus it dilutes the layer of sunscreen that is closest to the skin) just as much as using SPF 50, but it helps my mindset haha. :D
