New Hair Color at Status Hair Premier Salon's New Makati Branch

I feel that I'm not at my best lately or maybe it's just all in my head because it's that time of the month and you know when that comes, your hormones go cray cray. I hate feeling low so to change my perspective, I decided to refresh my hair color-it's been 5 months or so since I had my hair dyed. Honestly, I've been craving for a getaway, but I figured that a new hair color is one quick and easy change that I can afford at the moment.

Last week, I finally got a shot at a new hair color and my salon of choice was the newly- opened Status Hair Premier Salon in Makati. Status Salon is a local salon chain and at present, they have 8 branches and this new one in Legazpi Village is their first ever branch in Makati. A new salon means a new discovery and adventure!

Status Hair Premiere Salon boasts of its contemporary-minimalist setting accentuated with warm interior tones to give you a truly relaxing makeover.

Their hair color brand of choice for Permanent Hair dyeing is Nouvelle, this European professional hair care brand. They also use Schwarzkopf for their Organic and Semi-Permanent dyeing services. My hair dresser for the day, Edwin (who's also one of the senior stylists in this branch), decided to give me 7/3 from the Golden Brown selection.

To quote Obama: "Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time." So I just sat patiently and waited for my new look to unfold.

Edwin is a pretty chill guy and he entertained me as I waited for my new hair to color to process-he also told me a lot of interesting facts about hair dyeing and hair cutting, which showed that he's really the man for the job and he knew very well what he was doing. Alvin, on the other, hand, was a gentle giant: he's so tall, so big, but he has this gentle, sweet demeanor. Btw, Alvin gave me an AWESOME back massage so when you're going to drop by for hair treatments (specifically Hot Oil) in this branch, look for him and don't you ever forget to ask for his signature massage! I think I have a new task whenever I am going to try out new salons and that is to look for the best masseuse/masseur!

Okay, so this is the moment that you have all been waiting for: MY NEW HAIR COLOR!

I figured that my previous hair color was also 7/3 from the golden brown selection, but in another hair color brand and salon. Color's pretty much the same, but this one has a rosy undertone-the previous one had honey tones. The undertone of this new color gave my skin tone a subtle healthy flush! :)

Here's a comparison of my old color and my new color. Which one do you like the most?

This salon has a second floor, btw-the whole place can accommodate at least 9-10 customers.

What makes this branch a premium one? This particular branch has VIP rooms that can accommodate four people. You can opt for the VIP room if you want some peace and quiet without any extra charge or even if you're just going to have a hair cut!

Love my new hair color, Edwin and Alvin, you guys did great! :D

Status Hair Premier Salon's price is very competitive and targeted to yuppies and budget- savvy people of any age. Surprisingly, my color treatment is only P2,400.00 wherein in other salons, it always starts at P3,000.00+ just because I have long hair. Finally, I found a salon that will allow me to give my hair a color makeover without shelling out a fortune!

Status Hair Premier Salon Makati is located in Grand Midori Condominium, Legazpi st., Legazpi Village, Makati City-there are street side parking spaces for your convenience. Visit STATUS HAIR SALON MANILA on Facebook for inquiries and to find a branch near you.

  1. That color suits you wonderfully. It looks like a rich chocolate-y shade that flatters your skin tone. They did a good job there. --Matromao

  7. Both of your hair color are pretty. But I like your new hair more. It looks more healthy and glowing. :) They have a lot of branches na din pala. Now I have another salon to try out. And you're right, their prices are competitive. My long hair before usually costs me 4000+ just for a color. :/ I never tried coloring my hair again though after cutting it short. :)
