THE VERDICT:

When I tried this BB Cream, I decided right then and there that boy, Tony Moly is my favorite Korean BB Cream brand! The first ever BB Cream that has passed my standards was their Live Snail BB Cream and this, Tony Moly Petit Cotton BB Cream Delight (which happens to be the second ever BB Cream I tried from them), has impressed me too! That says something about the way Tony Moly formulates their products!

TONY MOLY PETIT BB CREAM DELIGHT IN 02 DARK BEIGE IN DETAIL

This BB Cream is the new version of Dear Me Petit Cotton BB Cream. It has whitening, anti- aging, and SPF 36 PA++ to block UV rays. It comes in two shades only: 01 Natural Beige and 02 Dark Beige.

This BB Cream is as small as its previous version and still comes in the same, easy squeeze tube, but this time, in a different color and feel. This BB Cream is actually small and quite handy!

More about this wallet- friendly, combination oily-normal and warm skin- friendly BB Cream after the break!

Dark Beige is a medium dark beige shade with a slight pink undertone. It has an emollient consistency and a very light floral scent. It has light to medium coverage and can surprisingly cover well like foundation.

What does COTTON mean in Korean BB Creams? I was told that 'Cotton' refers to BB Creams with a semi- matte to matte finish-Korean brands liken the effects of such BB Creams to the overall texture, appearance, and feel of cotton: soft, matte, and lightweight, which is why it is recommended for those with combination oily-normal or oily skin types. Now you know!

Bare skin with Tony Moly Cover Stick Concealer

Two layers of the BB Cream

I always use two layers to get medium coverage-it has SPF and yields a slight white cast, but it's so tolerable, thanks to its highly pigmented base. It just feels a tad bit pasty when you're spreading it across your skin and has the tendency to look slapped on if you don't blend it evenly-these are the cons that you have to get over with in the beginning, but when you do, you'll get this light, semi- matte finish with a dewy effect and I also noticed that it sets well on the skin!

How's the staying power? Great. On cool days, I only have to blot my t-zone and on warm days, a swipe of translucent powder will do to keep my face looking fresh. It fades for a little though on very active and very warm days, but it doesn't disappear completely from my skin. If you have grave discolorations, you should use this product with a corrector or concealer, but if you just need to unify your skin tone, this product would be enough.

I think this product will suit those with normal skin types aside from oil- ridden skin types like me, but if you have dry skin, I think you may need to moisturize first as this BB Cream may feel a lil' uncomfortable on the skin just because it yields a semi- matte finish. I love this BB Cream because its shade somehow matches my skin tone, it's perfect for my skin type, and it's super affordable!

  1. I've been using tony moly bb cream for a month now and I love how it prevents my face from being oily. I'm eyeing on the snail cream next after my current one. And now that you posted this, this would be added to my list of bb creams to use next. :) I love its look on you, not too light yet not too dark. It would really be perfect for combi skin like me. :)

  4. I kind of stopped buying products from Tony Moly after I got a super bad breakout from their tomatox. So sad :(

I try not to generalize but the breakout was so bad, I really avoid skincare/facial products from Tony Moly now. But that BB Cream looks really good, esp it has a higher SPF content than most BB creams. Plus it's super affordable too. Should I give it a try?

  7. I LOVE anything with dewy finish creams! Just because I am soooo obsessed with Korean's flawless skin. I am always like, I have to try different Korean BB crams to be able to achieve that dewy and flawless finish but I can only do almost like that. Hhaha But it's okay! :) Looking forward to more BB Creams reviews!

  9. How many mL is this? I'm actually considering this since another Korean brand that I like is The Face Shop, and after this post I think I'm definitely impressed. Especially with the staying power and it's effect to keep me matte. Nice. ;))
