THE VERDICT:

You know the one product that comes close to-in my opinion-the best (and my HG) contouring powder for morenas, Benefit Hoola? This: Revlon Photoready Bronzer in Bronzed and Chic 100. It's not always that you'll get to see a morena- friendly matte bronzer in the drugstore and that's what makes it one of my favorites too!

REVLON PHOTOREADY BRONZER IN BRONZED AND CHIC 100 IN DETAIL

Created by Gucci Westman, Global Artistic Director for Revlon, this product features four universally flattering shades that represent the four seasons of the year that you can use individually anytime to align with the season or mix together to create a personalized bronze. It's made with fine pigments that bend, diffuse, and reflect light for a natural bronzed effect.

By far, this is also the biggest-in terms of pan width-Bronzer I have ever owned.

The brush that comes with it is too slim (hello, obvious contours!) in my opinion and scratchy so I don't use it, plus the pan is HUGE for me as well. :p

To make things a little more interesting, Revlon embedded this image on the compact and it resembles a Coral. Makes me look forward to Summer!

REVLON PHOTOREADY BRONZER IN BRONZED AND CHIC 100 IN ACTION

It took me a while and dozens of shots to capture how this product fares on my skin. Whew! That shows you that this product, indeed, blends so well with the skin. It gives my face a really soft, even contour that looks good and natural either in photos or in person, and I won't worry about looking overly bronzed like the Kardashians. The bronzer builds up nicely that you can go light or dramatic with it anytime, whichever floats your boat. Oh, it stays intact for hours too!

This is a really good buy considering that it has four shades that you can use to contour your jaw line, cheeks, nose, and lids, it doesn't come off orange on Asian skin, it's matte, and it's quite affordable given its size and overall usefulness. If you have medium/morena/dark skin tone, you gotta check out this product!

  1. This is affordable nga and has the perfect shades. But I don't do so much of contouring so I'll let this one pass. :) I'm experimenting with the city color contouring kit for the meantime

  2. Come to think of it, I don't have any other Revlon product than the lippies. Not ready to go-a-bronzing just yet, but I remember looking at the Photoready blushes and thinking that they have a pretty color selection. I've also yet to swatch the cream blushes, so there's that.

  3. A bit pricey for my liking but I've been into contouring lately and I want to find a palette with different shades of brown! So that I can use different shades on my nose, jaw, cheekbones and hairline :)

  4. Abegaill: I went to the dept. store one time to look for this thing, and the SA said Revlon doesn't have this anymore. I hope she doesn't mean it's discontinued already! :/

Foodworldme: I have yet to try Revlon's blushes, but not the cream ones hehe-not a fan of that. :p

Stacie: For a really good product, I think this is affordable already! :)
