BEAUTY BULLETIN: Back-To-School Beauty

Vacation's almost over and it's time to hit the classrooms once again. I'm sure most of you right now, especially those who are entering college this year, are looking for new bags, accessories, shoes, clothes, makeup, and skin care to buy. For the latter, let this Beauty Bulletin serve as your guide to the freshest products that will give you flawless, primped skin, and rockin' locks.

Pixi releases their newest pick-me-uppers in the form of luscious colors, gorgeous textures, and nourishing formulas, collectively called 2015 Pixi Summer Collection.

Pixi's makeup collection for Summer 2015 features beauty essentials in fresh hues and light textures to lift your look and nourish your skin as well with skin caring properties.

This collection includes the following makeup products:

Brow Powder Palette (P790.00)- includes a variety of highly- pigmented brow- enhancing colors and soft, highlighting nudes. Customize your brows' look by mixing and matching the hues, and emphasize their shape with a dash of the highlighting powders. Can multitask as an eyeshadow palette, too!

Glow Mist (P950.00)- Add radiance to your overall look in as easy as a spritz with Glow Mist. Contains a blend of moisturizing ingredients and Argan Oil for that natural glow and hydration as well.

Makeup Fixing Mist (P950.00)- Keep your makeup looking fresh with this makeup fixer that's infused with Rosewater to hydrate skin and Green Tea that acts as antioxidant.

Silky Eye Intensify Duo (P890.00)- Pixi's award- winning silky, waterproof eye pencils now conveniently feature two complementing shades to enhance your eyes and bring out your natural eye color. Brown Eye Intensify is for dark- eyed ladies and Blue Eye Intensify is for light- eyed ladies.

Lip Lift Max (P740.00)- a cool, lip plumping lip gloss with an icy pink hue. Infused with peptides, Jojoba, Aloe, and Chamomile extracts. Features a fresh mint flavour.

Palette Bronzette (P1,600.00)- A collection of 12 eyeshadow shades and 3 shades for the face. This travel- friendly palette will take care of your bronzing, contouring, blushing, and highlighting needs.

Now you can make a statement without uttering a word with this lipstick's sculpting formula that infuses lips with pure volume, color, and hydration. Multi-faceted pigments create shape and volume, and Time Release Capsule and Hyaluronic Acid continuously hydrate lips. It promises to last up to 6 hours.

Being a college student entails a lot of commuting, extracurricular activities, and tons and tons of walking, thus you're more vulnerable to sun damage. Protect your skin effectively yet lightly with L'Oreal's new UV Perfect Aqua Essence, a light, watery sunscreen that is light on the skin yet tough on UV rays. It is now available in all leading department stores, drugstores, and supermarkets and retails for P549.00 only. Visit L'OREAL PARIS PHILIPPINES on Facebook for more information about this product.

Hear ye! Hear ye! Remington, one of the leading brands in hair styling and grooming tools in the world, is now officially available in the Philippines!

Fast fact: Remington was originally a manufacturer of guns and ammo, but eventually, the company decided to venture into personal grooming, particularly the hair segment.

Remington has pioneered a couple of innovative grooming tools such as the world's first body hair trimmer, an Intense Pulse Light Machine (IPL) for home use, a touch- control beard trimmer, and a well- loved line of shavers for men.

With Remington, you don't have to endure an uneven shave and mediocre hair styling and grooming tools any longer. Most especially, you can now sport fabulous hair easily and without having to leave your house for proms, soirees, and school parties! ;)

  4. The intro breaks my heart. Huhuhu. You just reminded me the hurting truth that few days are left with my summer time. Hahaha.

Talking about the brands and products you mentioned, I'll be honest. Pixi's summer collection is too expensive for me. Specially, the bronzer palette. I'd rather splurge my money on MAC lipsticks since for they are the best. Pink Nouveau forever! Lol.

When I saw that IPL machine for home use, I literally went like, "Whaaaaaaaaat?!" 'Cause you know, I've been wanting to ditch traditional shaving and just switch to IPL hair removal available for malls but it requires a maintenance. I'll be sure to check out Remington for that!

  5. Now that I'm working, I attest to what the elders kept on saying when I was still studying. That you'll miss studying once you started working. I so miss college days. :/ Anyway, the Pixi collection looks promising. The one I'm looking forward to the most is the palette bronzette. It's a steal for just P1,600. I just hope it's as pigmented as I expect it to be. The glow mist sounds sticky to me though. Oh, those estee lauder and mac lipsticks are so colorful and so girly! I so love the color of EL lipstick that you have. Sa Mac naman, super girly talaga. Ang di ko lang type na color is the leftmost one, yung parang yellow na. :/ I've seen that L'oreal essence during l'oreal's sale. :) I just have a lot of sunblock at the moment. Lastly, the Remington tools look so techie. And the price is competitive enough with other brands. As much as I wanted to buy one, my hair is not yet ready to be styled by irons and stuff again. :/ I hope my hair would grow healthy na soon

  7. An IPL machine could be a good investment. Underarms + legs packages already cost more than the Remington machine :/ Wouldn't it be scary though if you somehow overdid it and ended up with zebra legs? *shudder*
