THE VERDICT:

What's one of the most heartbreaking sights in the world? A broken lipstick. Want something more tragic? Your broken, favorite lipstick. Lipstick, to me, is the most delicate makeup item in the world and no matter how careful you are, it can still break anytime.

Tony Moly provides us with a solution for broken lipsticks and broken hearts with Lip Click Styling Color, a lipstick that delivers the right amount of lipstick in just a click! Goodbye, broken lippies!

TONY MOLY LIP CLICK STYLING COLOR IN M02 IN DETAIL

This newest product from Tony Moly comes in an innovative packaging and formula is created with emollient ingredients such as Argan Oil, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Rosehip Oil, and blooming flower complex. Finish comes in matte and shimmer.

The lipstick comes in a slim tube with a mechanism that is similar to pen highlighters: just click the button at the base until the product is revealed. I think this packaging is brilliant because it releases the product gradually unlike the conventional tube lipstick packaging wherein I always end up taking more than what is needed, thus it is snap- proof.

As you can see, there's no space between the lipstick and tube, making it even more snap- proof. What makes lipstick prone to breaking most of the time is the space between it and the tube as the space allows the product to wobble during usage and weaken at the base.

Swatches of this fab lipstick after the jump!

TONY MOLY LIP CLICK STYLING COLOR IN M02 IN DETAIL

M02 is a fuchsia shade with a matte finish.

M02 is a universal, bright shade that doesn't look tacky and I think it's a good alternative to any statement red lipstick. It's so pigmented and it looks and feels like a pricey lipstick; I didn't expect this kind of quality from Tony Moly, but I'm very pleased with the surprise. Finish of the lipstick is demi- matte and texture is a bit buttery and much softer than a regular matte lipstick. My minor problem with it is it highlights dry areas, but surprisingly, it does not suck the living moisture out of my lips; my lips do not dry out and flake with it. Staying power is very good as it fades gradually after a couple of drinks and meals, and it can stay intact, as if it were freshly- applied, if you don't use your lips!

I really like this new lipstick from Tony Moly because aside from its very good quality and affordability, it is designed with the user in mind: it's convenient, ergonomic, it just made lipstick much, much easier to use, and it puts an end to broken lippies.

  1. Ahh. I agree with you. It is truly heartbreaking to see your favorite lipstick get broken. Our weather is not lipstick friendly. It softens the lipstick thus it can easily break. When I apply lipstick, I don't turn it all the way so I can prevent it from breaking. Huhu.

This is such a neat idea! And that color is wowza! Though 598php for a lipstick is a bit expensive for me but I guess you're paying for the packaging here. I might check this one out. Thanks for this post. :)

    1. That's true. One time, I left a Dior lipstick in the car and silly me, I left it parked outside the house to burn under the Manila sun. Alas, it melted :p

  2. I haven't tried any makeup product from Tony Moly yet. Only their masks and bubble hair color. I've experienced broken lippies before especially when the weather is hot. I like the shade you are wearing in this post. Love the user friendly packaging of Tony Moly Click Lip Styling. Must get one asap. :)

  3. Last month, I broke my first lip tint/stick. Sigh~ And it's one of my new ones. Anyway, I can still use it and since it broke, I've been reaching out to it more these days. Lucky for me the space between the product and the container of the Aritaum Cushion Tint in Jean, which I broke, is small so I can still use it like nothing happened XD

I am super in love with TonyMoly tints and I want to try their lipsticks next!

  5. I have no experience with broken lipsticks and the tips of my lipsticks were still slanted even when they are almost empty. I guess it's because i am too lazy to use lipbrush when applying lipstick. The result was a perfect slanted tip, hehe!
The idea of this lip click was brilliant! I am sure a lot of girls would love to try this. I sure want to try this too but i limit myself to 400 peso lipsticks. Currently, i am switching 2 balm stains and a regular lipstick. My problem with my balm stains were the caps hitting the lipstick that result to dents. I hate it but it usually happens when i am in a hurry.

  8. What a prettifying shade! A kind of shade that really suits you. I like the packaging of this and ofcourse the shade. Every lipstick needs a little care to avoid breaking it, though there are some that easily breaks talaga:( a lipbrush will do the trick.

  9. I truly agree, it's so sad to see broken lipsticks. I find it sad already to see lipsticks with unwanted scratches. :/ That lip click is truly innovative. I hope all lipsticks would have that kind of thing. :) The shade and finish is so pretty too. I would love to get a red matte shade, or an orange.
