BEAUTY BULLETIN: Dreaming Of Summer With Dolce And Gabbana And Kenzo Flower

About this time, I am already daydreaming of my destination for the incoming summer. I'm thinking of Temple hopping + beach bumming in Bali, seeing the Indian Ocean for the first time in Maldives, or participating at the Hanami festival in Japan. Imagining where my next adventure will be is enough to inspire me to work hard! That, plus a new arm candy. :D

It's amazing how fragrances can satisfy your wanderlust at any given moment. More than anything, it also makes you look forward to that country you've been longing to visit and fuels that desire to make it happen! Just my thoughts when I was testing these new fragrances by Dolce And Gabbana and Kenzo.

Remember last year's fragrance odyssey featuring two travel- struck lovers by Dolce And Gabbana? Their journey continues this year with the limited edition Light Blue Swimming in Lipari EDT Pour Homme and Light Blue Sunset in Salina EDT Pour Femme.

The journey restores in sunny Lipari, one of the largest Aeolian islands in Sicily. Busy, eclectic, and colorful, the lovers embark on an adventure for the senses from sampling exotic delicacies to melting into the island's stretch of powder- fine, pumice stone sand and glistening blue waters. The journey ends at Salina, an island known for its lush backdrop where vines produce Malvasia, Sicily's precious sweet wine.

Swimming in Lipari is an energetic, watery scent. Top notes have Sea Salt, aquatic notes, and Grapefruit. Heart notes have Mandarin and cool, aromatic Rosemary. Base notes have Ambergris, Woods, and Musk.

Sunset in Salina is a sultry, sweet fragrance, inspired by Malvasia wine. Top notes have Vine and Violet leaves. Heart notes have Yellow Freesia, Amber, and Jasmine. Base notes have Ambery notes, White Musky notes, and Cedarwood.

Swimming in Lipari comes in the following sizes: 40ml (P3,550.00), 75ml (P4,450.00), and 125ml (P6,250.00). Sunset in Salina comes in the following sizes: 25ml (P3,450.00), 50ml (P4,850.00), and 100ml (P6,450.00).

Kenzo re-imagines the iconic Flower with Flower By Kenzo L'Eau Originelle. This airy, aquatic floral is as rare and precious as White Poppy, symbol of purity, peace, and tranquility. It takes me on an imaginary ride to the cool, chic London scenery to the serene backdrop of mountains and fields in New Zealand.

Alberto Morillas breathes life into this new fragrance by Kenzo. Top notes exude freshness with aquatic accords and Ginger flower. The heart is ruled by Peony. The base notes have a mellow composition of White Musk. Simple. Light. Elegant. Divine. Best words to describe this new Flower by Kenzo.

Dolce And Gabbana Swimming in Lipari and Sunset in Salina, and Flower By Kenzo L'Eau Originelle are now available in all Rustans stores. Visit RUSTAN'S on Facebook for more information about these products.

  1. I remember that commercial from Dolce & Gabanna! It looked like a short film! I was surprised it was an ad for a perfume! I don't usually buy high end perfumes. My favorite perfume of all the is the White Musk from The Body Shop! Maybe if I pass by Rustan's I'll check this out. Thanks for this post! :)

    1. I love perfume commercials too because they're always well- done and fashioned to be short films. :) I love shorts! :)

White Musk is awesome. It's my staple along with the discontinued Moonflower.

  2. Im not a perfume person ms m but i really do appreciate people that smells great! D&G is on my list (to try) scent but Eclat Lanvin wins and i think i found my signature scent (im still drooling on your perfume collection ms m!)

I have only tried the following (via vial samples only: Bvlgari Omnia Amethyst and Givenchy Play for women i like/love them, hindi nakakahilo ang amoy.

Im currently alternating Eclat d'Arpège Lanvin (i use this on special events only hehe medyo mahal kasi ms m) then on casual days Bath and Body Works White Citrus Fragrance Mist

I really do admire how well you define each and every scent for your every perfume reviews (honestly ms m) simula ng una kong makita yung perfume collection nyo year 2010 and how you describe Coco Chanel parang naaamoy ko na rin hihi, i couldnt just imagine gano na karami ang collection nyo ngayon ms m)

  4. I would prefer that perfume from Kenzo because I'm such a sucker for anything related to florals - whether prints or scents. That's why I'm a huge fan of everything that Victoria's Secret provides. It's also nice of having these D&G scents that make you remember summer, beaches, and vacations kahit na rainy season na sa atin.

  7. So I still wonder why people can spend so much on perfumes XD I'm sorry but can someone please enlighten me? I only use Clinique Happy in Bloom and since I saw Gateway's Clinique branch having it in stock, I've been saving up for it... Just because I haven't found any other scent to like XD
