DEAR READERS: Your Most Favorite Pinoy Beauty Product?

It's Buwan ng Wika! Mabuhay tayong lahat! For this week and the rest of the month as well, I'll feature a couple of blog posts that celebrate the Filipino. However, I can't write in straight Tagalog (I know, such a shame, but I'm working on it :( ). I don't want to make a fool out of myself so I will just write in the language that I'm comfortable in.

Yesterday, I was fixing my makeup stash and this has inspired today's Dear Readers query: What's your most favorite Pinoy Beauty Product?

Oh, did i just ask for one? Dang, this is hard. Why didn't I even ask for two or three? Haha. Anyway, let's just treat this as today's challenge.

*fingers tapping on the table

My most favorite Pinoy Beauty product, without a doubt, is Happy Skin Shut Up And Kiss Me Moisturizing Lippie. I've gotten more practical already and I rarely use lipsticks that hurt my lips nowadays. Happy Skin Shut Up And Kiss Me fits the bill. It's posh, very affordable, feels really nice on the lips, colors are classy and 99% wearable, absolutely non- drying, and colors fit Pinay skin tone really well. In fact, I find myself reaching for Happy Skin's cult lippie often than any of my lipsticks in my drawer.

Wishful Thinking: This Happy Skin product is so essential to me that I'm daydreaming of having a shade chosen by and named after me one day! :D

Your turn, guys. :)

  1. OMG. I missed a lot of stuffs last month. My mom decided to take us in a 1 month vacation overseas without internet. She challenged us to live without all the techie thingy. And yesss, I missed reading and commenting to your posts Ms. Martha and being active in social medias as well. Wohoo!

Anyway, my favorite pinoy beauty product is the human heart nature day and night moisturizer. It suits my skin well, so effective and it's very organic. Oh! And it's pretty unexpensive too that's why I freakin' love it. 😀

  4. Ohhh this is a hard one! I had to check my stuff and I think my most favorite beauty product is Human Nature's sunflower oil. I don't know if it counts as a beauty product but I use it to take of my makeup, as my night moisturizer, for my underarms and as an eye cream! I also love Happy Skin's Shut Up and Kiss Me lipstick in Honeymoon Glow, my only Pinoy brand though does that count? It says it's made in Taiwan so I don't know if that's really Pinoy. I wish they'd make it here in the Philippines for it to be truly Pinoy. Just a thought.

    Thanks for this post! :)

  12. ... I think the only Filipino brand I have tried is Happy Skin for makeup and Ilog Maria for skincare. I like both though I reach out to Happy Skin more and the particular product I like is the Happy Skin Don't Get Mas Get Even foundation :D

  14. My favorite Pinoy Beauty Product would be Human Heart Nature's Sunflower Beauty Oil. A really great all-around product. I use this before going to sleep and I wake up with soft smooth skin. I highly recommend it!

Bottomline, I love Human Nature skin care products. I have been absolutely itching to try Happy Skin products but for a student such as myself they are out of my budget, although your post has inspired me to save up.

  16. I have no valid reason for liking Human <3 Nature's baby lotion -- it just smells and feels like the after-bath snack times of my childhood.

(I bet you started picking out a TBJ shade right when (or even before) you wrote that down, Ms Martha lol)

  17. I only have one lip crayon from Happy Skin and although I love Hot Stuff so much, I'd have to go with Human Heart Nature just like the other beauties here. I have been in love with their Sunflower Beauty Oil since it has plenty of uses and did wonders on my skin too! They also have hair care, baby, even make up products that are all organic, I believe.

We Filipinos can make quality products at an affordable price too. We just have to give it a shot. Not only do we save money, we also help our kababayans who get jobs from these home-grown brands/companies. Nice post Miss M! =)

  19. Oh.. Just one? Hhmm..

I'm torn between Ellana loose foundation and Happy Skin's Shut Up and Kiss Me lippies.. Both are great product but since i'm a lipstick lover, I think I'd go for Happy Skin!

  20. One of my favorites would be the Moringa-O Hair Conditioner! I know it's not exactly makeup but I love how it actually works for my hair! My first rinse made all the difference when I noticed that my hair felt heavy. I also like Snoe for their unique packaging, even though I haven't tried the products myself. But branding wise, their packaging is such a head-turner!

  21. The first thing came to my mind is Ever Bilena. My very first make up kit has ever bilena products. But since I am earning now, would love to try other products such as Snoe, Ellana and Happy skin :)

  22. Happy Skin without a doubt! I started with just buying the Eye Need a Miracle concealer, but now, my Happy Skin collection has definitely expanded. Their products never disappoint and is worth every penny :)

  23. my would totally be Happy Skin! :)

  24. When I was in college, the lip stick trend was something dark, dark brown, burgundy, and matte to wear on your lips.I like Fashion 21 ( as my classmates recommended) in the darkest shade (I forgot the shade so sorry!) I can find. It's cheap , so it does not put a dent on your budget. Fashion 21 exists up to now.

  25. I also love Happy Skin Shut Up and Kiss Me Lippies. All of them no doubt. haha. Ever since I've tried one, I'm wishing and saving up to buy all of the shades I want. Kahit yung mga lippies lang, next na yung eyeliners and all. :) If Happy Skin haven't arrived yet, my next choice would be Fanny Serrano products. Truly affordable yet amazing quality. :)

  26. I like Ever bilenas lip&cheek tint. (ginaya ko lang kay Ellen Adarna! Lol!) I also like Ever Bilena's matte lipstick Toast of New York shade. For beauty regimens I use Ilog Maria they were the supplier of Sonyas Garden before ang alam ko ngaun Sonya is making her own na but almost the same lang as Ilog Maria. I really love the smell of their products!

  27. Now my curiosity's piqued. Will try this soon. At aabangan ko yung mga posts nyo sa Tagalog. :))

  28. Hi ladies! Salamat sa inyong pagsagot. Nakakatuwa din na ginamit ninyo ang wikang Pilipino. Mabuhay tayo! :)

  29. Thank you for featuring local brands, Martha! My skin is very dry so I can't live without lotions, LOL. Among all the lotions I've tried, my most favorite is Human Nature Natural Healthy Lotion in Berry Bliss!!! :D It smells soooo good, non-greasy, and light. Not to mention 100% natural, and gawang Pinoy :) - Starr
