FOTD/EOTD: Eye Makeup For Fuchsia Lipstick

Do you like Fuchsia lipstick and eyeshadow, and would prefer to wear both at the same time yet you don't know how? Here's a simple, foolproof, always perfect eye makeup look that I love wearing with Fuchsia or Hot Pink lipsticks.

EYES:

Nars Shadow Primer

Top, L-R: Prime; Apply a matte bone/cream shade
Bottom, L-R: Trace above crease using matte Gray eyeshadow and blend the edges; line the upper and lower lash line

Fuchsia is a strong color and wearing one means you want to highlight your lips. I suppose you already know this rule of thumb in makeup: colorful lips=neutral eyes or vice versa.

Aside from Brown, I use Gray eyeshadow with Fuchsia lipstick. I don't use Black because even if it's a neutral color, it's strong like Fuchsia and both clash on the face.

You can also use a pastel pink shadow used as a lid wash with Fuchsia lipstick for a springtime look. ;)

FACE:

Soap And Glory Kick Ass Concealer Medium

Hope you learned something new today. What would you pair with Fuchsia/Hot Pink lipsticks? :)

  1. I don't have much fuchsia lipsticks with me but I have a magenta lipstick that I never would have thought I would wear, let alone own! Whenever I wear that lipstick, I only pair it with some filled-in eyebrows and some mascara because I feel it's bold enough and I want the focal point of my look to be my bright lips. Great look, by the way! Thanks for this post. :)

  4. It's so cute! Fresh looking :) Maybe if I have a shade of lipstick like that I would pair it with a natural brown eye look.

  5. I don't have the confidence that I could pull off Fuschia lipstick. I only wear reds in wine shades, deep berries and pinkish mauves but not fuschia pink. I'm a morena like you Ms. Martha and I envy how you nail those "scary" shades. Effortlessly gorgeous!

  7. I am sporting fuchsia lipsticks recently because I love how the color looks so vibrant and happy. :) I usually pair it with a light brown, gray eyeshadow. Sometimes, just plain eyeliner. :)

  8. I wish I could do my eyeliner as good as yours! I'd pair a fuchsia lipstick with a neutral eyeshadow, skip the blush and just add a little warmth on my face with a bronzer for a subtle glow. :)

  10. This is just informative! Haha. I know it's basic eye shadowing but for "manangs" like me, it really helps that we have a beauty site we can always run to. In fact, I captured a screenshot of the steps for future reference. You see, I love eye shadows esp the earth-tones, but I just don't know how to apply them properly. There are just one toooooo many video tutorials in YouTube and with my full-time work and gradschool stuff, I just don't have the luxury of time to watch countless video tutorials :( It's great that we have the same skin color so what looks good on your skin might be applicable to mine as well :) Again, thanks a lot for the make-up tips and tricks! Will frequent this site na! ~Starr

  12. love your lipstick and winged liner!
I always pair a bright lip with simple eye makeup, sometimes just eyeliner as I want all attention on my lipstick... plus I don't want to look kontrabida on a daily basis.
