DEAR READERS: Outrageous Lip Color. Will You Wear It?

Dear Readers,

It seems like crazy lip colors are taking over the beauty industry nowadays. Blame it on LA Splash and Colourpop Cosmetics, two brands who changed the game for lipstick and made womankind realize that Black is just as good as red and we're okay in Gray. Have you seen MAC's Matte lipstick collection lately? That one's got some SERIOUS daring colors!

My question is, do you dare to wear outrageous lip colors?

Even before this got cool, I've been wearing Black lipstick already sometimes and also Violet, Blood Red, and Crazy Pink. Thank God it got cool now because I have more options! Yay!

I will get my hands on a few Colourpop and LA Splash lippies in the next weeks and these are my choices:

  1. I think there's some deep shades wearable on a daily basis. However, I cannot please everybody if I'm walking in Ayala and wearing like the Sirius shade ;')) Maybe during parties? :D

After spending a lot of time at my computer trying to figure out how I wanted to pursue my desire to make money online I realized there is really one good way to start out and then everything else falls in after that.

  5. I would wear one! Except for the greenish lipstick and black. I love deep color lipstick but it will still looks weird here in our country if you will wear blue/green shade of lipstick.

  7. I can wear crazy colors as long as it won't make me look old and it's not hard to pair up with clothes. Browns and neutrals and maybe grayish neutrals but not black or blue, the elders at my place will get made at me. XD

  8. Maybe I would wear but it takes a lot of courage especially I'm a mom now. My darkest shade I have is the pure garnet from L'Oreal and easily I get used to it. I would love to try the Tootsi and LAX:) excited for the upcoming reviews.

  9. Meh, I'd wear ultra-bright colors in the shades of pink, red, and orange, maybe, but I wouldn't spend money on green, gray, or blue lipstick. They feel too costume-y.

  10. Oh yes! i can rock a pink, violet, red, black lips! The bolder the color, the better for me. I'm actually lemming for the harry potter inspired lippies. Will check out Digital Traincase since she alo sells those.
However, you can't make me wear blue or green lipstick, it's too... Clownish for me, i think.

  11. I think I would, but depends on the definition of outrageous. :p I'm in the bold red and bright pink territory right now. Taupes are fine, since they're like nudes, but with more brown. What I secretly fantasize about it being able to pull off something like MAC Instigator. I keep getting vetoed by friends and even the MAC SA, and I think it does contrast too greatly with my skin tone. Love the attitude of the color though. It takes full confidence to pull it off.

I draw the line at blues!

  12. I wear deep plums and deep wines but i don't wear full makeup. I feel like my cheeks blush whenever i wear those shades. I think it's okay to wear outrageous shades as long as you enjoy it and you are comfortable wearing those. As they say, "walang basagan ng trip!" By the way, i find Ghoulish and Tootsi so wearable.

  13. I actually don't have the guts to wear super loud lipstick colors. Maybe if an event requires one, and everyone wears one, I'll do it. :) I know kasi it will really catch attention. Lalo na pag nagcocommute. Haha

  14. Maybe Violet is the closest I'd get to wearing outrageous colors, but blue? Green?
Hmm. People will stare kasi when I commute! Hahaha!
But NYX has those outrageous macaron lippies too Miss M.!
