 THE VERDICT:

Brow Kits are fab inventions, especially if you worship your brows like I do. Brow Kits give you the feeling that you're an artist creating a masterpiece, which pretty much results to well- groomed brows. Brow Kits cost a pretty penny and if ever I find one in the drugstore, it's not the one that I have in mind, something that has a wax, powder, mini tweezer, and spoolie-brush duo applicator.

L'Oreal diversifies the Brow products department in the drugstore with the introduction of L'Oreal Brow Artist Genius Kit, which, to date, is one of the best brow kits I've ever tried.

L'OREAL BROW ARTIST GENIUS KIT IN 01 MEDIUM TO DARK IN DETAIL

This brow kit is your secret weapon for snazzy brows. Shape, Style, and Set your brows with a pigmented powder and a wax that promises 12-hr. hold. It comes in two shade combinations: 01 Medium To Dark and 02 Light To Medium.

It's a travel- friendly Brow Kit that you won't mind bringing it with you anywhere due to its lightness and compactness. I saw the US/UK version of this product and it comes with a mini tweezer; the only reason that I could think of as to why L'Oreal took out the tweezer in the Philippine version is to bring down the cost; Not a biggie for me though because I have lots of tweezers at home and besides, I don't tweeze my brows! The only con of this product is the dual- ended applicator is too tiny, it slips off my fingers!

 Brow Powder- cocoa brown shade
Brow Wax- golden brown shade with a hint of gold shimmer

The Brow Powder has a smooth, easy to blend formula and its semi- creamy texture lets it cling onto my skin effectively even without the help of a primer. The Brow Wax, on the other hand, has a beautiful, unique texture: it's not too creamy and not too sticky unlike other brow wax products--it's like powdery wax, which makes it appear more natural and easier to even out on the brows.

L'OREAL BROW ARTIST GENIUS KIT IN 01 MEDIUM TO DARK IN ACTION

1- Bare Brow
2- Brow mapped with Brow Wax
3- Brow filled in with Brow Powder

L'Oreal said that the wax is supposed to be treated as a sealant and applied on top of the brow powder to make the look last longer; I don't follow this because this wax still has some stickiness to it and I have slightly bushy brows; don't want to sport sticky- looking brows! Instead, I treat the brow wax as a primer by applying it before the brow powder; It works the same and yields the same effect as L'Oreal's suggested technique.

The products last the whole day and they intensify my brows naturally. I only find the brow powder's shade a bit too dark for my liking so I just remedy it with a brow mascara; I wish L'Oreal would introduce another shade, something like reddish brown, in the future. Nonetheless, the whole thing is very easy to use and quality, in my opinion, feels more than just P400.00! I don't mind purchasing this product when I finish my pricier brow kits!

  1. I gave up on eyebrow kits, but maybe because I used the wrong product. I wanted to try this, because L'Oreal is on fire right now with their new amazing products!

  2. Looks nice though I can't seem to decide if this is ashy enough for my liking. I don't particularly like warm tones for my eyebrows. I used to use the in2it eyebrow powder that comes with three shades but lately, I seem to like eyebrow pencils more. They're more convenient than powders but powders give off a more polished looked. I'll have to swatch this at a L'Oreal counter first if I'm going to try this. Thanks for this post!

  3. Hmmm, I never thought that it has brow wax, parang both powder hehe. I think it is an okay product. I think I would rather get the in 2 it eyebrow powder since it has 3 shades in 1 pan.

  8. It looks good on you, Ms. M! I'm not quite into using brow powder, because I love eyebrow pencils. They're easy to use kasi. But, I've tried one brow powder, the one from Jazzy Collection. It's has three colors, a light brown, chocolate brown, and a brown-black one. It's affordable and lasts long.
