This Is How I Live Life To The Fullest

The wisest advice I’ve ever heard is “Live life to the fullest”; ‘tis short and sweet, yet quite powerful, giving you that boost you need to live a life worth recounting. I’ve always lived by this advice and the best thing about it is it helps me overcome whatever fear I have and surpass whatever success I’ve achieved. I only got one shot in this life so I better make it count.

I live this advice in many ways and I’ll be sharing some to you here.

1.    Aim to travel to another country

You’re probably saying “Duuuhhh” right now, but really, this is something that stays as a dream for a lot of people. Traveling makes you a more educated, informed, and intelligent person, not to mention appreciative of your own country so never, ever die without traveling at least once in your life. Also, traveling encourages you to dream bigger, set better financial goals, and find better opportunities that will benefit you in the long term.

2.    Say what you want, now.

I’ve realized that more than anything, the biggest reason why a lot of people are broken and unhappy is they don’t say what they want; it’s either they cannot voice their opinions and requests or they just choose not to. Times like this, the best advice to always keep in mind is what priests say in weddings: “…speak now or forever hold your peace.” You gotta say what you want when you get the chance if you want to have a better shot in life, justice, love, freedom, get a raise, or whatever; saying what you want, in case you didn’t know, is a form of self love because you give yourself a chance to be acknowledged and heard.

3.    Be crazy enough to know that you can

Fear is the enemy of success; not lack of money, connections, wits, or whatever. The cold truth is, everyone’s still trying to figure out what they’re doing so if you’re afraid that you’ll just end up blowing your chances, good news, you are not alone. The present might be hard and the future, daunting, but if you start getting over that fear by telling yourself that you frikkin’ CAN, things will start working itself out for you.

4.    Live with a grateful heart

Gratitude is a great, great virtue to live by. I was a chronic complainer, complaining pretty much about everything from the way my brows look to the current president of our country; it was like life wasn’t worth living for me then. I had a change of heart and just started being grateful day by day, from the blessings to challenges I receive; life has gotten easier and days have become lighter. A grateful heart is like a torch that lights up dark paths; when you’re down in the dumps, turn to gratitude and be uplifted in just seconds!

5.    Take care of your body

This should be a no- brainer. A sick body won’t enable you to live life to the fullest so make it your priority; take care of it by eating healthy, exercising, and of course, having proper hygiene. I’m a heavy walker so my legs and feet are battered all the time so I make sure to take leg and foot massage at least twice a week, and scrub away calluses caused by friction with Scholl Express Pedi; the nice thing about Scholl’s ‘automatic foot spa’ is: 1.) It is easy to use and gives me beautiful feet in one switch. 2.) Specially- designed Micralumina Roller gently buffs away dead skin. 3.) It delivers smooth, beautiful feet while cutting down nail salon expenses, thus I can use my money on other, important things.

So these are the rules I live by so I can live life to the fullest. What’s yours?

  5. I agree to everything! I also have an addition: Learn the Art of Dedma. NOt everything is worth the negativity, learn which things to "dedma". I learned this the hard way, last year, I care so much about things that I became a toxic person to be with, I'm oozing with negativity - why is my salary so low, why is so-and-so like this, why is our system like that - I complain about everything and can't talk about nothing but negativity! Then this year, something snapped in me. I learned to dedma people that I dont have direct connection and felt lighter, more positive. So yeah, Learn the Art of Dedma! :)

  6. Indeed speak what you want but I'm too afraid to hurt people I love. I'm also afraid to take risk ( I want to switch career but, I'm afraid because everybody depends on me) and fail. Maybe, I need to be more outspoken and way bolder :D

  7. I totally agree with everything you mentioned. For me, not worrying so much on what other people will say or think of you makes you enjoy life better. Live your life the way you want to, dress up the way you want to and wear that outrageous lip color if you have the guts! That's your life so you must be the one to decide on how you live it.

    1. I agree with that! People will always have something to say so there's no use minding every single thing that comes out of their mouth; it's just additional, unnecessary stress!
