 THE VERDICT:

I get puffy eyes in the morning whenever I sleep on one side for the entire night or even for just a couple of hours; I get puffy eyes too when I fall asleep after crying on a sappy movie; the puffs persist for hours or if I'm unlucky, they stay the whole day; definitely not sexy!

To get rid of puffy eyes, there's the usual home remedies such as ice cubes, chilled spoon, cucumber, potatoes, and tea bags; they work, but they can be quite messy and wasteful.

There's an easier, more convenient solution to puffy eyes: Benefit Puff Off, an eye treatment that not only de-puffs, but helps minimize dark circles instantly with its magic formula.

BENEFIT PUFF OFF IN DETAIL

Puff Off is a light, tinted eye cream that helps gets rid of puffiness, minimize darkness, infuses skin with peptides, moisturizes, and helps minimize signs of aging; the formula features a cooling effect and the product has a special cooled tip metal applicator for an effective de-puffing action.

 Ingredients

Here's the super cute cooled applicator that resembles an iron; gives you the feeling that you're ironing your puffs away! I said cooled because this metal tip feels innately cool and gets even cooler (like a chilled spoon) when you put it in an air-conditioned room; I don't use it to spread the product though to keep the fresh eye cream inside the tube unadulterated; I just place it on top of my under eyes for a couple of minutes for some extra de-puffing action from the applicator.

BENEFIT PUFF OFF IN ACTION

The product is a lightweight, pinkish cream with a fresh, moisturizing texture; Benefit called this an eye gel, but it looks more of cream to me. Consistency is smooth, a lil' creamy, and gets absorbed quickly; formula has slight cooling properties and surprisingly, for an eye cream, has a pinkish tint that helps counteract dark circles. Product has a light floral scent. Don't let the product gets inside your eyes because the cooling sensation will sting 'em.

I love using this product before applying concealer because the Pink tint kinda' acts as a corrector; I also use it after pulling an all- nighter because it helps prevent puffy eyes in the morning; if I've had a sleepless night, this product minimizes the puffiness. However, if you have naturally puffy eyes, this product can't treat it.

Benefit Puff Off is your handy 'iron' to smooth those puffs away; best for you if you're like me who gets really puffy eyes or if you want an eye cream that has concealing properties.

  1. I got natural puffy eyes and when I tried using this my puff doesn't go away but I feel like that area is smooth by then. Also I find the gel cool when applied, I thought my eyes will sting but ut didn't.

    1. Could it be that you have naturally puffy eyes? I have a childhood friend who's had puffy eyes since we were young and nothing has helped her with her bags. Oh, genes!

  2. Puffy eyes is not good looking at all. I, most of the time experience that but not minding it so much. Hehe. Benefit never failed to come out great products for our needs. Though its a bit pricey but its alright to splurge out into something that's worth it. Great product to try and the applicator is awesome. Another great review Ms.Martha.

    1. If dark under eye circles is more of your problems, try wrinkle and fatigue- reducing formulas such as Origins Gin-Zing and Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream. :)

  5. I have a bad habits of eating noodles in the middle of the night and every morning my eyes as well as my whole face looks like a chipmunk's I sort it out with using cold spoon but, I can't when I sleep to my soon to wed cousin (they don't have a fridge yet). Reading your review I might consider buying it (very travel friendly in my opinion).

  8. Another tip to lessen the puffiness is to add another pillow so your head is much more elevated than your whole body :)

  12. that applicator is really unique. I like to feel that cooling effect that you were talking about Ms.Martha! I only use a cooled metal spoon and use them in the morning if I need them! hehe :)

  13. The applicator helps. I think the wide, flat surface gliding with some cream on it is easier than the typical roll-on type. I find that my undereye skin tends to get caught in the roll-on. Ouch!

    1. Oh my! I experienced that before too..my skin got caught in one of the roll- on eye creams I used; 'twas painful so never again! :p

    1. If it's dark circles, as I said to one commenter, try origins or bobbi brown; also Nivea coq10 if that's still around; that's one good eye cream. :)
