THE VERDICT:

Most girls are afraid of bright colors as much as they are afraid of foundation; to debunk the myth that bright can be tacky and foundation can make you look like a walking porcelain plate, it all boils down to: 1. Finding the right hues and tones 2. Application know- how.

I used to hate brights, believe me, thinking they won't fare wonderfully on my skin, but I've gotten over this belief and have come to like brights when I found the right shades for me. Brights actually make you look young!

I'll make your search quicker: here's one palette of wearable brights from POP Beauty Bright Up Your Life Eyeshadow Palette in Bright Delight.

  1. Glad you've debunked this eyeshadow myth for morenas (I too was experimenting with colors whenever time allows me to).

  2. pretty palette and this one reminds me of sleek palette! (been wanting to collect those limited edition and most of their collection) but this is more pricey than the sleek palette.

I am more curious with Pop Beauty Lipstick Palette (i think i saw it on your IG last year?)

  4. I own a lot of bright eyeshadows and though I am not much of a morena, I still tend to ignore those simply because I always opt for the more natural look. However, the colors are all alive when there are events, I mostly love blue or violet on my eyes and of course, the burgundy trend is really my jam. Sad that this doesn't have more red shades but the colors are cute and bright. The price is ouch though...

  6. I don't like bright eyeshadows too! But I might wear them when night time. Bright eyeshadows like this really enlighten your eyes. Maybe I'll wear bright colors but I'll make sure that it's matte not shimmery.

    1. Yeah, matte is a good texture for colorful eye shadows; it makes them look more sophisticated. :)
