FAN MAIL FRIDAYS: My most favorite beauty finds from my travels

It has been a pretty sad end of the week for me; my beloved companion, Denver the Golden Retriever, is suffering from Kidney failure and doctors said he might not make it, but he's still a big eater and that's enough hope for me to fight and believe that he will soon be okay. Please, if it ain't too much to ask, kindly include my beloved mutt in your prayers; a simple "Get well, Denver" will surely do him a lot of good because I believe that where the skill of man ends, miracles through prayers begin. Thank you in advance for your prayers and may you be blessed always.

Leaving you with today's FMF is from Katrina and she asks:

Hi Ms. Martha,
Love your blog for all things beauty and travel! I just want to ask what are your favorite beauty finds from your vacations/trips?
Katrina

 Hey Katrina!

Thanks for loving my blog. As for your question, I do have a lot, but so far, these are the ones that stood out:

1. SEPHORA REUSABLE WIPE

- This wipe is the shizz! It's so eco- friendly because in my 2- month usage, I think I spared the environment around 5 boxes of facial tissue and that's like 500 pulls, plus it's very easy to rinse unlike traditional towels and the material helps lift makeup from the skin. Totally a wonderful buy and I'll definitely repurchase if given the chance.

- A great dupe discovery. This is an affordable alternative to Estee Lauder's amazing Double Wear Concealer; of course, nothing beats the original, but when your budget is tight, this is a great alternative!

- Until now, I'm still amazed at the volumizing ability of this mascara every time I go back to the review I made for it; it's one of the best volumizing mascaras I have ever used!

- A facial cleanser that's DA BOMB! This super soft, moisturizing, and gentle facial wash is the nicest facial cleanser there is! I love how it cleanses without drying and how fun it is to use!

- I've always loved Soap and Glory for their bath products, but this product made me realize that they excel in the color cosmetics category. This innovative concealer kit is sometimes the only thing I need to conceal bad skin and dark circles!

That's all! Care to share yours?

  1. I'm intrigued with the reusable wipes...is it hygienic to reuse it? Like how can you make it fresh and clean again and does it become moldy?

    1. You have to discard it after 3 months. It has to be air dried to prevent molds from developing on it. :)

  2. I'm hoping and praying for Denvers health. Fight Fight Fight Denver. At gusto ko ng magtry ng Perfect Whip, parang ang ganda ng result nito, kase naghoard ka nito sa recent travel mo sa Japan eh.

  3. I hope your Denver will get well soon. :(

I also swear by Perfect Whip! It's the only cleanser I've used that has prevented me from breaking out. I used to always, ALWAYS breakout on my chin but whenever I use Perfect Whip, my skin has never been as cleared as it was before! I'm currently using the Whip Premium. I think it's not as good as the Perfect Whip one. Once I finish that up, I'll be going back to the Perfect Whip. I also love Soap and Glory! It actually started when I saw one of your favorites post, I think. You mentioned the Kick-ass concealer and luckily when I went to Thailand, they had Boots there and I was soooo happy. I ended up buying the concealer for my sister and I think she likes it. My only regret is not having bought as much Soap and Glory products as I can. It is very difficult to get hold of it here in the PH. I love their hand creams and I really, really want to try their body butters. I love their original pink scent. Ahhh! Thanks for this post!

    1. Maybe it's because of super hydrating properties. Sometimes, skin breaks out as a reaction to dehydration. I'm loving perfect whip so much too! :)

Soap and Glory has amazing bath products. Wish I bought some when I was in Thailand.

  4. Reusable wipes? Really? Well, is it only for make up? What's the material?

    1. Yes, it's for makeup. Too small to be used for the body. :D

    1. Thank you, Princess. Denver passed away last July 7 already.

The wipes is around 500php+, if I'm not mistaken. Not available locally though. Only at Sephora.

  7. Hope Denver can still recover :( It makes me sad since we do have dogs and cats in our home. Nakakstress at nakakalungkot pag nagkakasakit sila :(

    1. Yeah. That's why even if I'm a pet lover, I don't want to have another one anymore after Denver passed. It's always saddening when they get sick or die.
