TBJ TRAVELS CAMBODIA 3: Shopping In Cambodia + Travel Guide + Itinerary + Travel Cost

Laminated posters for sale at Pub street

If you're thinking of brand and luxury shopping, Siem Reap, Cambodia isn't the place to be, but if you're up for some of the most unique finds and spices, then you should make this city your next destination. I'm going to take you around Siem Reap for shopping!

This is a random post and I'll must about my awesome finds and recommendations as we go along.

Cambodian snacks- the supermarkets in Cambodia are home to some of the most exotic dried snacks such as boiled chicken leg, mushrooms, dried cuttlefish, and more; if you're the exotic snacker, take a trip to any of the supermarkets in Siem Reap for some good exotic snack finds; my favorite one is by Pub Street!

Of course I had to look for new beauty finds! Most of the beauty drugstores and supermarkets in Siem Reap feature pretty much the same brands that you'll find in Bangkok such as Bioderma, La Roche Posay, Avene, etc.; here's an interesting find, Bodia, an all- natural bath, body, and aromatherapy range that is proudly Cambodian.

For the shopping areas, the most popular are Angkor Night Market, Siem Reap Art Center, and Old Market; these markets are located within the same vicinity and they pretty much overlap each so it doesn't matter where you go; these markets are walkable from Pub Street.

Random cool find at Old Market: Aphrodisiacs! These wines have preserved cobras and scorpions in them as it is believed that they bring power and energy. Anyone dares to try these? :)

Siem Reap Art Center is one of the biggest shopping areas, just right across Pub Street; if you're looking for Cambodian fashion, jewelry, and bag finds, this is the place to be. I like this market because it's well lit and cleaner.

Here are some cool finds from Siem Reap Art Center:

Beddings, shawls, and runners; they're super affordable!

Statues, displays, and images carved from silver and pewter.

Gorgeous Kaftans and robes.

These are my hauls:

Bought these spices for our household and friends. I dub these my best buys from Siem Reap! #BecomingATita.

Shirts, bags, and other novelties from Siem Reap Art Center.

I purchased Bodia Rice Scrub and SK-II at the airport; the latter is not the essence, it's just the toner, but contains pretty much the same ingredients as the toner so I thought that it could be a good way to know if it will work on me or not before I make the big purchase.

That's all! Our last day in Cambodia will be all about food; check back for it! :)

Sharing with you the cost of our Siem Reap tours including the major transportation expenses. Please note that this may vary depending on the current exchange rate.

  3. Those are amazing finds! I especially like the snack selections! The first thing I ask for when other people give pasalubongs from overseas if local delicacies! :) I also really like the beddings, would love to own one like those! I'll be waiting about the SK-II toner review because I've also been curious about their products but I'm not sure if they would mesh well with my skin type. Since we have practically the same skin type, your review would be a good reference because SK-II products are too expensive to just ignore when it doesn't work on you. :(
