BEAUTY BULLETIN: Fresh, new bases!

Hey! Are you looking for new face bases to try? Check out these new offerings from Maybelline and Covergirl.

If you want a soft matte look, try Maybelline Dream Velvet Soft Matte Hydrating Foundation. It's formulated to stay matte yet natural, curb shine yet stay lightweight. Locally, it comes in 5 shades and retails at P499.00 per tube. For more information about this product, please visit MAYBELLINE PHILIPPINES on Facebook.

Are you the type who likes that 'barely there' foundation glow? Try Covergirl's TruBlend duo: TruBlend Liquid Makeup is in a water- based formula that's made to seamlessly melt onto the skin while providing coverage. Top it off with TruBlend powder, translucent pressed powders with a hint of tint for invisible coverage for every skin type; the hint of tint in the powder allows it to adjust perfectly onto any skin tone and help minimize the white cast that most translucent powders have.

TruBlend liquid makeup is at P645.00 and TruBlend pressed powder is at P425.00. For more information about these products, please visit COVERGIRL PHILIPPINES on Facebook.

  1. I can't find my shade in Maybelline in their Velvet range and I still can't part with their matt mousse foundie though I prefer their new foundie more because the packaging is much more hygienic.

  6. I like the Dream Velvet's consistency, texture and staying power. The same goes to their Dream Satin products. I can say that it has great quality for its price and works well with my skin.

  9. Eyeing Covergirl's water-based foundation! I hope it works well with oily skin :) I've seen Maybelline Dream Velvet tested on oily skin and they don't mesh well together :( I'm still gonna wait for your thoughts before having a final decision about it though! Must take advantage while it's still on sale HAHAHA :)

  10. I have yet to try the Maybelline dream velvet foundation as I'm still finishing my Shiseido Maquillage. But based on the reviews I have heard, it's quite good for a drugstore liquid foundation. On the other hand, I was able to try out the Covergirl liquid foundation a year ago and it was quite good. So far, my experience with Covergirl foundations are positive. :) <3
