 THE VERDICT:

I've been hearing good stuff about Max Factor's Facefinity Compact, specifically from the older Millennials. It may seem like a product that should be left with mom, but I believe that great products that transcended time should know no age and I believe that this product deserves a nod from women of any age because it is really good!

MAX FACTOR FACEFINITY POWDER FOUNDATION IN GOLDEN 6 IN DETAIL

This compact promises to deliver a hydrating, satin- like finish with SPF 15 and Perma-Wear technology for lasting coverage. It is oil and fragrance- free, and dermatologist- tested.

The product comes in a dated compact; not really the most aesthetically pleasing, but inside is a wonderful powder foundation that I liked instantly in the first use. I think Max Factor should up their packaging design; it's the first visible thing that draws people to the product more than the formula; in my opinion, good- looking packaging is the first step to inducing trial and opening up consumers to discovery.

The sponge is nice, sturdy, and doesn't crumble; definitely no rubbery smell and that's what I loved about it.

MAX FACTOR FACEFINITY POWDER FOUNDATION IN ACTION

 Bare skin with concealer

 One layer of powder foundation

Was really impressed at the texture of this one: it has that creamy-dry combination, which to me, is the perfect powder foundation texture; texture is a lil' drier compared to Shiseido's powder foundation, my HG and benchmark for great powder foundation, but for it's price, it's not bad at all. Coverage is medium to heavy and you can build it without the need for wetting the product. It has pretty impressive smoothing properties. However, I didn't feel that it's hydrating because it's powder so proper moisturizing is still needed, but at least it did not make the normal parts of my face feel dry. Also, shade selection is pink and doesn't really match my skin tone properly. By the way, I'm wearing Golden 6, a medium dark beige shade with pink undertone.

Coverage holds up pretty well, but I still need to retouch my T-Zone during wear; I even wear this product to the gym because it provides good coverage and can withstand sweat. Another thing I like about it is it doesn't have any fragrance. Finish is soft matte.

I think the biggest factor that made me love this product is I didn't know that it is surprisingly good. The recommendations were right; I've found a drugstore powder foundation that I'll definitely be repurchasing!

  6. If their packaging looked a little more classy, I would definitely grab one of these compacts! They're on the more expensive side of drugstore products so I expected a little bit more on how they present their products, but hey it's about what's inside nga naman. =))) I've heard raves about this powder foundation, and I like how natural it looks on your skin! Plus points for being pawis-proof! :) Max Factor's -finity products have definitely earned praises everywhere! Have you tried lipsticks from that line, Ms. Martha? :)

    1. I've tried a couple and I recall they're good. Max Factor is a very good brand; not that affordable for a drugstore product, but their products are deliver; if you don't have budget for the expensive pro products like MAC, MF is a good choice. :)

  11. I think Max Factor has been around for ages because of a good reason. I remember my older sisters used to have a lot of Max Factor makeup, including lipsticks and I remember playinflg with their bronzers as a kid and I didn't really understand what it was for and why they'd what to make their faces 'darker' and then they'd scold me. It's good to know they still make quality products. Hopefully, they step up their game in terms of packaging since more and more drugstore brands are coming up with good products with great packaging.

  15. I've always loved the Max Factor Whipped Creme Foundation and their mascaras. I agree with your opinion about the packaging. It looks like a makeup for lolas but I like the soft matte finish on you! I checked on Zalora and the line has really good shade variety to match Filipina skintone!
