Highlights of my 2016

2016 has been a so-so year for me; I actually don't know what to feel about it LOL. Despite all the challenges I've had this year (and the ones to come), it's still a good life and I'm reminding myself of that by counting down all the highlights of my 2016.

 1. I SAW THE GREAT BARRIER REEF

Ticking something off your personal bucket list is always a good feeling; this year, I finally got to see the legendary Great Barrier Reef, the biggest living creature on Earth. I got to see the famous Wally the Maori Wrasse too and most of all, the visit to the Reef was life- changing: I've realized how small we are and that the surface of the ocean is just the beginning of it all; there's so much more to discover underneath, so much life to cherish and take care of. I've never felt this passionate about the ocean until I visited Great Barrier Reef and saw the dozens of creatures that depend on it.

2. I VISITED THE ANGKOR WAT

Another one ticked off my bucket list. A teary- eyed visit to the Angkor Wat made my year as well because I've always been fascinated about History; this visit was like a journey back in time and a satisfying peek at ancient wisdom.

3. I VISITED ILOCOS

- Finally got to visit the jewel of the North, Ilocos. It's always a pleasurable experience going around the Philippines because it makes you feel how blessed we are in terms of natural wonders.

4. I VISITED LULJETTA'S HANGING GARDEN SPA

Finally got to visit the popular spa by the mountains. It was just a thankful experience to see that there are still good patches of nature left in the metropolis.

5. I VISITED TOKYO, JAPAN FOR THE SECOND TIME

Went back to experience Tokyo more and I was never disappointed!

6. BECAME AN AMBASSADOR FOR MY FAVORITE BRANDS

I got to be a Palmolive Girl, Cetaphil Ambassador, and part of the Guerlain Beauty Council. The trust of brands affirms that I'm doing a pretty great job in Blogging (still!), plus it's always been a dream of mine to work with my most favorite brands!

7. GOT TO TRY PADDLE BOARDING!

I love Kayaking when visiting the sea and this year was my first time to try Paddle Boarding. Fell the first time, but everything went smooth- sailing from there. New skill, unlocked!

8. TROOPS

My college barkada is basically family and despite so many hurdles last year, I'm still happy that we've overcome them and we're still here, friends and stronger than ever!

9. I AM MARRYING THE MAN I LOVE

The picture says it all. :)

What do I expect of 2017? lots of positivity and prosperity, and good surprises.

2016, farewell, it was great knowing you.

May you have a bright 2017. :)
