New Beauty Discoveries from Shiseido, Guerlain, and Elizabeth Arden

Last week, I went to the Beauty Discovery fair by LuxAsia Philippines to discover the newest products from Elizabeth Arden, Guerlain, and Shiseido. A liquid face powder/blurring tool, new products inspired by a cult classic hydrating cream, an ancient face powder brought to the modern times, and a best- selling bronzer that comes in new forms; these are some of my interesting finds at the fair. Find out what they are!

Elizabeth Arden's cult classic Eight Hour Cream, a favorite of many jet- setters and those with dry skin, has inspired this season's newest skin care products: Eight Hour Cream All- Over Miracle Oil and Eight Hour Cream Hydrating Mist.

Eight Hour Cream All-Over Miracle Oil is a moisturizer for the face, body, and hair. Made with Tsubaki Oil, this oil is clinically proven to deliver smoothness and hydration for 8-12 hours and promises the following benefits: 1. All over moisture 2. Reduces dry skin 3. Adds shine to dry, dull hair 4. Can be used as a post- shave moisturizer 5. Uplifting fragrance 6. Softens cuticles 7. Provides instant shine.

Eight Hour Hydrating Mist features a super blend of super fruits namely Acai, Goji Berry, Mangosteen, Noni, and Coffee for antioxidant benefits, plus Apple Leaf extracts to soothe irritation and redness.

Elizabeth Arden's best- selling serum, Ceramide Capsules now come in a starter kit, perfect for fans who want a travel- sized version and for those who want to sample the products first.

Shiseido takes us back to the very first years of the brand with the limited edition Seven Color Powders collection. Seven Color Powders are the first powder products of Shiseido and they're as good as 100 years old! For this year, the powders are offered as a set and provide a luminous, corrective finish for the skin. Seven Color Powder set retails at P11,000.

Other new releases of Shiseido are the following: Shiseido Ibuki Smart Filtering Smoother, a liquid blurring tour that softens rough texture, conceals pores, and helps combat oil; it comes in a pocketable packaging and the liquid formula lets you retouch quickly while on the go and even without a mirror. 7 Lights Powder Illuminator is a pressed version of the Seven Color Powders; if you want something more compact, opt for this. Shiseido Synchro Cushion, Shiseido's first cushion, provides hydration, skin defense with antioxidants, and smart skin tone correction.

Finally, Guerlain; Guerlain's new Terra Cotta Bronzers come in shimmer, matte, and trio variants. A new version of the best- selling Meteorites powder called Happy Glow Pearls that has correcting and illuminating properties was also unveiled.

These products are now available in their respective boutiques and counters.

What are your picks?

  1. For me, shiseido is one of the best high end brand in the market today. They offer quality makeups, skincare and tools that are really effective. However, other girls might find it a bit pricey because their products are all ranges from 1500 and up here in the Philippines. Kaya for me, if you want shiseido products and you have relatives and friends abroad, dun na lang mag pabili because its cheaper. But if you want to buy agad, their counters in malls are open naman and their staffs are very polite too! :) I wish that they will release the powders individually, 11k is too oh-oh pricey kasi. Though the quality for sure is superb naman :) Their blurring makeup din looks promising. Have you already tried it na Ms. M? You know how much I'm conscious on my big pores. Hehehe.
On the other hand, I haven't tried guerlain products pa. Ang ganda ng shade nung bronzer! Hopefully it will suit Filipina skintones too! :)
EA, as usual releases a good skincare products that will surely be loved by many! :)
Thanks for letting us know these products Ms. M! :)
