 THE VERDICT:

Looking for a primer that will suit hypoallergenic skin? Bell Cosmetics' has got your back! Here are two (out of 4, I believe) primers that will address your pore and oily concerns. So which one is my favorite?

WHAT IS IT?

Pore Correcting Primer helps smooth and prepare skin for a flawless makeup application.

Mat and Smooth promises a hydrated yet matte surface for long- lasting makeup.

Ingredients

L-R: Mat and Smooth Primer and Pore Correcting Primer

Mat primer has a smooth, gel- cream texture and Pore Correcting has a soft cream texture with a slight silicone texture. Both are unscented.

HOW IS IT? WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?

One layer of Mat Primer

This one has a light, hydrating finish; it's not necessarily matte, but semi- matte.

One layer of Pore Correcting primer

This one feels light, but not as light as Mat primer. It also has a light tint to it that helps improve tone, but may be a bit dark for really fair skin tones.

Between the two, I like Pore Correcting Primer, surprisingly, because of its smoothing finish and the way it makes my foundation look and apply better. Mat primer is okay, but I wish it felt a bit more matte for me to feel the difference it makes on my combination oily skin. Pore Correcting has a slight oil- controlling finish and Mat Primer proves to be better in oil control.

As for the primer you will choose, it depends on your needs, really, but if you want my recommendation, go for Pore Correcting Primer. Love that these come in a hypoallergenic formula too!

  1. I first heard this brand sa IG nyo Ms M! i havent tried any primer aside sa Mary Kay (siguro dahil mas type ko yung silicon based primer) bit pricey for my liking (1K) but i think this is a good one!
