THE VERDICT:

I can get so busy that I oftentimes ditch skin care and wear minimal makeup (appalling for a Beauty Blogger, right?!) just to make it to my next meeting and get more work done. I appreciate it when brands come out with multitasking skin care products like In Her Element because it saves me a lot of time. I liked In Her Element Nourish and Cleanse Balm because of its many uses and I recently tried out a few more and here's what I think about them.

WHAT IS IT?

First Wash Cleansing Oil

First Wash Cleansing Oil is made with high grade oils namely Grapeseed Oil, which on its own is ripe with skin care benefits (Vitamins A, D, E, antioxidants, Linoleic acid, Omega 6, and Beta Carotene).

This is a rich, highly emollient oil; a small drop is enough to shake up waterproof makeup and mascara, but I don't really use this to remove eye makeup unless needed because it's a bit tough to rinse off. To rinse it off the skin, just wet your face and use facial foam. I just wish that the packaging has a stopper to prevent accidental spills.

Low pH Rose Gel Cleanser

A low pH gel cleanser with 5.5-6 pH that balances out the skin's acidity and alkalinity, thus helping keep acne- causing bacteria at bay; it's infused with Vitamin E, Aloe Vera, Licorice, Daisy Flower, Milk Protein, and Rose Distillate.

It's a mild cleanser with a pretty rose scent; as stated in the website, you do need about 4 pumps to produce a good lather just because this is SLS and SLES- free, which makes it ideal for dry skin. The pump dispenses a wee amount and generally, despite the amount of product you're advised to take in every use, I think this product will last a while.

Rose Gel Serum Moisturizer ingredients

This multitasking moisturizer also acts a serum, promising bright, smooth skin.

I like that this product comes with its own spatula. Product is a light, bouncy gel with a cooling, hydrating finish and a pretty rose scent.

HOW IS IT? DO THE PRODUCTS WORK?

I like both the cleansing oil and facial wash; the oil is very economical and I like that it doesn't leave my face dry. The facial wash, although I'm still trying to adjust to the feel of low foam facial cleansers in general, feels nice on the skin; used it for a month now and I noticed that dryness was minimized and my face looks more hydrated. The moisturizer is a very good concept; I like that it mixes two of my essential skin care products; however, I got zits on my second day of usage and my skin felt a little taut when the product has settled on my skin so I always top it with another moisturizer to bring back the normal texture. I read that it has Shea Butter as one of the primary ingredients; I was told by a dermatologist that Shea Butter is a comedogenic ingredients and I also think that my skin doesn't fare well with it so I hope In Her Element would use other moisturizing yet non- comedogenic ingredients.

Overall, this is good stuff; a little steep, but the products are multitasking. I recommend the facial wash and cleansing oil!

  3. What I remember is that SLS is a product that is mostly present in soaps makes the skin dry. Woah! So if this is SLS free then this is really good!!!!

  4. Wooooah parang ang ganda nila 😍 Napaka important talaga ng skincare routine 😞 dati kasi sabon lang talaga ako, hindi ko naiisip noon na mahalaga ang skincare kasi lagi lang akong nala focus sa make up, eh now tumatanda na tayo hindi naman tayo pabata kaya yung skin ko minsan dry na dry and ngayong year talaga ang tindi ng breakouts ko, first time nangyari to na ang dami ko pimples, ewan ko ba kung bakit pero ayan ngayong year din mas natuto ako how to take care of my skin, natuto na ako mag toner, moisturize, face mask kasi dati talaga hindi ako nagamit ng mga ganyaan. 😅 Anw, thanks ate martha for sharing this I hope sa future madami pa akong matry na skincare products katulad nyan kasi I also feel like hindi ko pa nahahanap ang tamang skincare products for me, sensitive kasi skin ko so madami talagang products ang hindi ako hiyang. 😊

  6. I think these are good investments. The cleansing oil is very interesting for me. I've been used to a specific micellar water for cleansing that I've never really had the chance to try anything else. The packaging is very neat. I like it! Looks clean, crisp, modern, and cute! Thanks for this, Ms. Martha!
