The 5 Eyeshadow Brushes you will ever need! + Youtube Video

Good tools are as essential as good skills that's why I highly encourage everyone to invest in good makeup brushes; they don't have to be branded, expensive, or innovative; they just have to do exactly what you need done, plus be sturdy too.

There are a dime a dozen eyeshadow brushes out there and I understand how anyone can be so confused and end up wasting money with repetitive brushes or brushes they don't need or know how to use; been through these!

Here's what I think are the only eyeshadow brushes you will ever need to create beautiful eye makeup; these are the ones I swear by and what I've been using to create the eyeshadow looks that have been inspiring most of you.

1. EYE SHADER BRUSH

- For applying neutralizing color. I remember how early makeup sets used to have 5 or more of this! The Eye Shader Brush is only useful for applying a wash of color on the lids and depositing loose pigment or glitter; it doesn't blend or create any detail so you're only good with one (fine, make it two).

2. BULLET BRUSH

- For adding drama to the eyes. The short, packed nature of the bullet brush is important in creating or enhancing creases; it deposits color on the eyes and blends without sweeping away the color. Around 2 should be fine.

3. TAPERED BLENDING BRUSH

- For creating color effects and gradation. If I can only choose one eyeshadow brush for the rest of my life, it would be this. This brush is the most versatile and useful in my opinion, and it's the key to achieving a well- blended eye makeup look. I have this brush in multiple sizes and I've about 7 of this.

4. FLAT BRUSH

- For cleaning the look at spot application. There are some parts that the bigger eyeshadow brushes can't reach and this brush will do the job. This is also vital in cleaning and shaping the eye makeup look, and for applying concealer on the brow bone for a cleaner brow look.

  7. Bet na bet ko dyan yung blending brush. Haha So cute kasi ng style saka napapadali niya yung pagblend. :) How about different makeup brushes ate Martha? with their corresponding purposes/usage. Kasi may iba na hindi alam kung saan gagamitin yung specific na brush. (gaya ko)

  8. Thank you so much for sharing this! I've been waiting for this type of post for so long since I'm always just stuck with my bullet brush. :( Having different types and sets of brushes is definitely handy! Using just one tends to mess up the make up in the long run. Thanks for this, Ms. Martha!

LOL It's so hard to choose what shade of eyeshadow to put in my eyes. Imbis na maganda ang kalabasan, ayun pumapangit siya dahil sa brush na gamit ko. Nung nabasa ko to, naliwanagan na ako. Hahaha Thank you Ms. Martha! I will post it in my blog soon and surely give you all the credits. :)

  18. Great! I have been very confused about different make up brushes. Thought onlh make up pros are the ones should be having those. I wasn't fond of make ups years ago because i always end up getting rashes. But since my skin may have adjusted na, i got back of getting curious of a lot of make up coming up. Thank you for making it easy for us newbies. You have been very patient and accommodating.
