Since the tinted K-Beauty trend is all the rage nowadays, let's tackle long- lasting tints in today's SPEND VS. SAVE. Which tint is more long- lasting and will give you K-Pop royalty lips and cheeks that last the entire day? Find out.

THE LOWDOWN:

Colourette Colourtint is a pigment + oil formula that promises intense pigmentation and lasting power. It contains Argan Oil to nourish skin.

Chateau Labiotte Wine Lip Tint is a famous tint that comes in a cute wine bottle packaging because it has wine extracts that helps rejuvenate the skin (through Reservatrol).

PRICE:

Chateau Labiotte is not officially available locally, but through online resellers. A bottle is around P700.00.

Colourette Colourtint is affordable at P229.00.

WINNER: COLOURETTE

EASE OF USAGE:

Chateau Labiotte is a mousse-gel type of tint; it is lightweight, easy to blend, buildable, and provides a natural- look. Formula is friendly to anyone.

Colourette is an oil tint; consistency can be unusual for some because it's the first of its kind in the market, at least to my knowledge. It is also very pigmented and needs controlled application.

WINNER: CHATEAU LABIOTTE

QUALITY:

Chateau Labiotte has a nice fruity fragrance; it has a lightly sweet taste too. There are around 7 shades to choose from, if I'm not mistaken. It has decent pigmentation, but might not show up that easy on warm skin tones.

Colourette has a sweet floral fragrance; no taste whatsoever; there are around 8 shades to choose from, if I'm not mistaken; the oil formula makes it a tad bit moisturizing and what I love about the formula is it doesn't remove makeup even if it's oil! This can be applied before or after powder and effect is consistent.

WINNER: COLOURETTE

STAYING POWER:

Sadly, Chateau Labiotte does not stay long on me.

Colourette has intense staying power that I use it to the gym; it persists even if not set with powder!

WINNER: COLOURETTE

Both products are good in their own right; it depends on your preference. If you prefer a barely there look, Chateau Labiotte is good for you. If you want great pigmentation and staying power to boot, then go for Colourette.

  3. UGH I’m so happy to read this because I absolutely hated Chateau Labiotte! Mas tumatagal pa yung mga drugstore bullet lipsticks ko on me :( Hope I get to try out the Colourette one!

  4. Colourette is such a steel for its price! I haven't tried the lip tint yet (but would love to). :( But I can guarantee that the brand is very promising. Tried their lipstick in the shade Bethany and it's actually one of my most fave lippies. 5/5 would recommend as well. Thanks for sharing this, Ms. Martha!

  5. I wanted to try that Colourette tint it's just that some says it clogs pores when often used. Anyways, still a good product most reviews says so, so it is worth trying.

  7. Chateau Labiotte used to be really popular online. It was so raved upon that I have a few friends who hoarded the product. They said the liquid content dried up quite fast inside the bottle. Even in proper storage. Any one else experiencing the same situation? I'm curious.

  9. There are a lot of raves about Colourette. I am having second thoughts at first, but this review has convinced me to get a Colourette lip tint. Thanks for sharing your feedback on this Ms M. I really appreciate it.

  10. Thank you for the feedback on the two products Ms. M! I've been meaning to try the Chabiotte wine because a friend of mine says it's good. I'm a bit worried because I'm warm-skinned and I don't think it'll show up nicely on me. I'm also a tad skeptical about the Colourette cheek tints. I'm sold with the long lasting and intense pigmentation traits :)

  12. I haven't tried any cheek tints before. Hahaha actually I don't use blushes except for photoshoots because of my skin condition. 😅 Morena ako pero kay bilis mamula ng balat after certain amount of sun exposure. Sabi ni doc inherited daw yun sa dad's side ko (at least one or two in every generation have that skin condition kahit mestiza o morena).
I would like to try Colourette, but I'm curious how it will fare under hot studio lights.
