EOTD: Ultraviolet Holidays + Tutorial + Youtube Video

Hola! It's been a while since I did a makeup look so here's one for you.

We're feeling the holiday rush now more than ever and I'm pretty sure you are (or about to) attending parties left and right. Here's a cool eye makeup look I did in partnership with BDJ Box that I call ULTRAVIOLET EYES. Most of the time, holiday makeup looks focus on statement lips, but this time, let's bring it to the eyes!

STEP 1: Grab a shader brush and a matte camel shade and apply on the upper lid; this will serve as your transition color.

STEP 2: Grab a synthetic blending brush or flat brush and a violet cream eyeshadow. Shade your entire lower lid and diffuse the cream shadow with the brush. This will serve as your base to make eyeshadow last longer and to intensify color.

What I used: The Body Shop Eye Color Stick in Siberian Quartz

STEP 3: Grab a blending brush and shimmer dark violet eyeshadow and apply from the center of the lid going outwards. Blend evenly.

STEP 4: Grab a flat shader brush and a metallic royal blue eyeshadow and apply from the inner corner of the eye going to the center. Blend evenly.

What I used: Smashbox Photo Op Eyeshadow Luxe Palette

STEP 5: Grab a bullet brush and mix the dark violet eyeshadow you've used in step 3 and a pink eyeshadow, and line the lower lash line.

What I used: Smashbox Photo Op Eyeshadow Luxe Palette

STEP 5: Grab a white eyeliner and line the waterline.

What I used: Eye of Horus Goddess Pencil in Selenite White

STEP 6: Apply black eyeliner and falsies to complete the look.

What I used: Taiwan Falsies and Colour Collection All Day Wear Liquid Liner

The final look

I made a video for this look too for those who prefer to watch tutorials so check it out on BDJ Box's Youtube page. All the products I used were mentioned in the video :)

Hope you enjoyed this look! Don't forget to tag me in your posts should you decide to recreate it, okay? :D

  3. For some reason, this reminds me of a Rihanna look. I love how the two colors seamlessly match and blend so well on your lids! Amazing blending skills! Also, I love the fact that you used a glossy lip product for this instead of a matte one. It gives you that fresh glowy look. The brows are so natural too! Your skin looks amazzzzzing especially with the right amount of blush here. This is a very wearable make-up look for those who'll spend the night out this holiday season! Love it! Thanks for taking the time to film this as well, Ms. Martha!

  6. I love how you do it Ms. Martha! It was really awesome and it perfectly suits you. I want to do it for myself too but it's kinda hard for me to achieve this kind of look especially I really have no talent in doing blending and etc when it comes to beautify the eyes haha. Anywaysss, Thank you for sharing step by step procedure on how you do it and of course for filming it para damang dama talaga. Looking forward for more tutorial like this. <3

  7. It seems to me that you have bare brows in the first few photos. I envy those well-groomed, full brows. Sa akin kasi may bald spots na, maiksi pa yun kabila.
Your choice of colors is impressive as well as your blending skills.
Perfect for holiday partying talaga itong look na ito.
