THE VERDICT:

What's an All-In-One line if it doesn't have an All-In-One complexion product? To seal the deal, The Body Shop has come up with the All-In-One BB Cream to complete the family. Incidentally, it's also one of The Body Shop's new BB Creams.

THE BODY SHOP ALL-IN-ONE BB CREAM IN 02 IN DETAIL

Just like the other All-In-One products, it boasts of Marula Oil, a natural oil extract that maintains the health of your skin.

Comes in one size only and in a sleek silver- toned plastic tube--It's quite travel- friendly! It only comes in three shades: 01 Light 02 Medium 03 Dark. The ingredients list says it has Titanium Dioxide, but the product didn't claim that it has SPF. Well it might have some SPF in it, but maybe it was too little to consider. Hope they reformulate and add at least SPF 15 in it!

INGREDIENTS: Aqua/Water/Eau (Solvent/Diluent), Isohexadecane (Emollient/Solvent), Hydrogenated Polydecene (Skin Conditioning Agent), Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate (Skin Conditioning Agent/Emollient), Ethylhexyl Palmitate (Skin Conditioning Agent), Glycerin (Humectant), Sclerocarya Birrea Seed Oil (Skin Conditioning Agent), Hydrogenated Castor Oil (Emollient), Mica (Opacifier), Phenethyl Alcohol (Fragrance Ingredient), Magnesium Sulfate (Absorbent/Bulking Agent), Sodium Chloride (Viscosity Modifier), Glyceryl Caprylate (Skin Conditioning Agent), Tocopheryl Acetate (Antioxidant), Polyester-1 (Film Former), Silica Dimethyl Silylate (Binder/Viscosity Modifier), Triethoxycaprylylsilane (Binder), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Skin Conditioning Agent), Tocopherol (Antioxidant), Glycine Soja Oil/Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil (Emollient/Skin Conditioner). [+/- CI 77891/Titanium Dioxide (Colour), CI 77492/Iron Oxides (Colour), CI 77491/Iron Oxides (Colour), CI 77499/Iron Oxides (Colour)].

Just like BSKIN BB Cream, this product starts off white and then develops into a tinted product as you blend it onto your skin.

02 is a medium beige shade with an olive undertone, and The Body Shop says that it will fit gals in medium to medium dark skin tones. (Quite true!) Consistency is somewhere in between watery and creamy, texture is lightweight and easy to blend, setting time is so-so, finish is light to medium, and it has no fragrance.

WORK IT: I find that it's best applied using my fingers.

It settles into a very sheer finish-No wonder it can adapt to almost any skin tone. At close range, it is almost undetectable and leaves you with a faint coverage, but from afar, it somehow gives skin a tinted glow despite its sheerness. With this shade, I get an orangey glow and it makes my face appear a little darker than the skin on my body so I always use one layer only. To solve this, use a shade- matching, yellow- toned loose/pressed powder or liquid/powder foundation-yellow- toned powders will help minimize that orange glow.

THE BODY SHOP ALL-IN-ONE BB CREAM IN 02 IN ACTION

Bare skin with MAC Prolongwear Concealer on

One layer of The Body Shop All-In-One BB Cream

It's good enough to give your skin a fresh, dewy effect, and to unify your skin tone, albeit it cannot cover any marks that well. That said, I would recommend it to be used with a high coverage concealing cream. The good thing about it is, it can be worn underneath makeup since its texture is very light, especially for normal and dry skin types. For those with oily skin, I would advise you guys to wear it with long- wearing or oil- free foundation: It gives your foundation a little skin care boost and you get to balance the emollience of both products all at the same time. As for me, I prefer wearing it on its own.

Staying power is okay: Lasts all day without fading, but it does make my face a little oily during wear. If used on its own, it will work best on people who have clear skin, and dry- skinned people because its natural oil extracts will keep dryness at bay. For oily- skinned gals, it's best used with a matte setting powder- not the creamy ones as it may prevent the product from setting properly onto your skin type. Overall, it's a pretty nice product because it's the only BB Cream that kinda' matches morena skin tone, and doesn't give off that gray or white cast and pasty coverage as opposed to the BB creams of the past, but I wish it comes in yellow tones.

  2. Hi M,

I have just started reading your blog and I'm learning a lot about beauty and makeup. One of my takeaways is using eyelid primer. I've never used it before as I use makeup sparingly, but I bought one earlier and will try it out tomorrow. :)

  4. Since i'm not a bb cream and concealer user i should skipped trying this one...but i love the sheerness it gives you when you use it alone. I also agree that they should add spf.

  13. Would you say that its performance justifies its price or would you rather buy a slightly more expensive one like Benefit's Hello Flawless liquid foundation for better effects? 😄
