THE VERDICT:
Indeed, Change is the only thing constant in this universe. I don't know if this is a sad fact, but I'm starting to veer away from matte lipstick because it can't really come to terms with my dry lips. Maybe I got tired from all that painful (and oftentimes bloody) flaking, and I choose to love my skin more now. Soon, matte lipstick, we'll be together again, but now, we both need space.
But I don't want just any type of moisturizing lipstick. I want one that resembles the pigmentation of matte, has the texture of satin, and the moisturizing capacity of a lip balm. I found all these in my new love, L'Oreal Color Riche Le Rouge!
L'OREAL COLOR RICHE LE ROUGE IN DETAIL
Color Riche Le Rouge is said to be the even better version of the former Color Riche line. It's a pigment- rich, moisturizing lipstick laced with precious oils Argan and Jojoba to help treat dryness, and it's long-wearing enough that it leaves a stain on your lips when it gets rubbed off. This line offers ten trendy shades.
Tube now looks more polished and elegant than before, and also features those colored acrylic emblems that supposedly resembles the shade of a particular lipstick.
Swatches and review of my most favorite L'Oreal product after the jump!
Texture is buttery and creamy, and it doesn't slide around on the lips, therefore you can use it without the help from a lip liner. It doesn't need to be warmed up too and applies very evenly, especially for the richer colors. It's moisture- dense that I could really feel it's softening my lips upon application, and pigmentation is astounding: it delivers full coverage in one swipe. Finish is satin and scent is somewhat floral-ish, but light. It keeps lips smooth all day too. However, it tends to look streaky and settles on the borders of the lips after a meal and a few drinks-just blot your lips when that happens.
Now onto the swatches!
L'OREAL COLOR RICHE LE ROUGE IN ACTION
Peach Dream
Peach Dream is a midtone warm peach shade.
I call this shade the 'skin warmer' because that's exactly what it does on fair and tan skin tones.
Fairy Touch
Fairy Touch is a peach-beige shade.
Perhaps this is Le Rouge's MLBB shade. It's a pretty safe shade for teens too and for those non-makeup days. It's also very identical to Peach Dream.
Dewy Beige
Dewy Beige is a nude pink shade with a hint of beige.
Wow, I like this shade! It's nude, but not nude enough to wash me out and I'm liking the hint of pink in it because it adds a bit of healthy color to my lips and skin tone.
My First Pink
My First Pink is a muted cool pink.
This demure shade looks so young and fresh. I even had a friend who told me that this shade makes me look as if I just had my 18th birthday. Haha!
Pop Up Pink
Pop Up Pink is a bright, cool- toned pink.
This pink is somewhat Barbie-ish in appearance and looks stunning on fair skin tones, albeit it looks nice on warmer skin tones too. It's just a tad bit bright for daily wear, at least to me. I can see myself wearing this in the beach or during road trips though!
Touch of Amaranth
Touch of Amaranth is a hot cherry-pink shade.
My second favorite aside from Dewy Beige. It looks fuchsia at first, but when you stare at the color, it's really hot pink with a hint of red, like freshly- picked cherries. It's a warm shade and that makes it great for warm skin tones, and I can also see myself wearing this color to daytime meetings-it's bold enough to make a statement, but not too loud and distracting.
Wild Tango
Wild Tango is a fiery red-orange shade.
This is the kind of red that I can surely wear to the beach! IMO, it's a a lil' comparable to MAC Lady Danger, except that this one is glossier.
Viva Red
Viva Red is a true red shade
Well, what can I say? It's a regular true red shade that looks good on any skin tone.
Now this is the tint Color Riche Le Rouge leaves on your lips, but only if you're wearing the pinks and reds.
This product does not dry out my lips. Staying power is impressive: It stays on for about three hours if untouched and fades for a little after your usual drink and meal. I also like that it leaves my lips soft and silky when I wipe it off, thanks to the oil ingredients in it. Haven't used it long enough to know if it can treat dryness, but as far as I know, I love it because it gives me the moisture I need and I'm happy with its pigmentation. Le Rouge is what my lips need at the moment. This is such a good buy and I recommend it if you're looking for a high performance lipstick without burning your wallet!

Loving the Viva Red shade.. The Pop-Up Pink kinda reminds me of Nicki Minaj's lippie for Super Bass.. And I'm exactly looking for a pink lipstick for days when I'm feeling fierce.. Hahaha!

ReplyDeleteAwesome swatches and shades! How can one not fall in love with these lippies. If theyre not a pain in the butt to swatch in the lips because theyre a bit moisturizing I think, then everyone would love these definitely! I love the shades and the tint it leaves after wearing is soooooo beautiful! I can really go for a no retouch because it will just make your lips naturally kissable afterwards.
