THE VERDICT:

If there's one thing I like about CC Creams, it's that they do not make my skin oily, unlike BB Creams. They say that BBs and CCs don't differ that much from each other, but if good staying power is one of these little differences, I'd gladly take the latter any day.

This product called H2O Plus Face Oasis CC Cream is no different from some good CC creams I've tried as it holds up pretty well on my skin, plus it's very hydrating to boot. It plumps my skin with so much moisture that looking healthy and fresh all day is quite effortless!

This oil- free CC Cream comes in one shade only and fortifies skin with the moisturizing trio of Hydrating Marine Blend, Hyaluronic Acid, and Sea Mineral complex. Vitamin C helps fade away dark imperfections and Reservatrol provides a powerful antioxidant effect to the skin, while Broad Specturm SPF 30 PA+++ protects the skin from UVA and UVB rays, and Diamond Powders illuminate the complexion and minimizes the appearance of pores instantly. In short, this is a packed CC Cream!

The product comes with a pump dispenser that smoothly dispenses the product.

Light/Medium is a light beige shade with a yellow undertone and is good for light to medium skin tones only-I wish there were more shades to choose from though. Consistency is watery cream and virtually has no scent. Texture is pretty light and coverage is sheer to medium, and I like how smooth it is and how even the payoff is, and it also sinks into the skin nicely and effortlessly. However, I don't think that it can be completely categorized as a CC Cream (at least to me) because the color is very reminiscent of BB Creams. Why did I say so? Because the standard is that CC Creams should come in correcting shades and are meant to neutralize skin imperfections, but I find that this one only enhances my current skin tone, which is pretty much the job of BBs.

Skin Shiseido Natural Finish Cream Concealer in  3 + Protools Concealer and Corrector Palette

One layer of Face Oasis CC Cream

I only use one layer every time because it gives off a white cast and it obviously looks too light for my skin tone. It has evened out my skin tone quite nicely (I particularly like the way it has minimized the redness on my nose) and it really did conceal my enlarged pores, albeit I have to use it along with thicker concealers to cover up face bumps and darker skin discolorations.

For tan and morena- skinned ladies like me, it's always best to set this product with a shade- matching loose or pressed powder. This CC Cream feels and looks pretty light on the skin and I can layer powder foundation or even liquid foundation on top of it without that cakey feeling and look.

TIP: To improve coverage, set this product with a powder foundation.

Coverage fades minimally by the 4th hour, but still manages to leave a pretty decent coverage on my skin at the end of the day. What I really love about this product is it makes my skin look plump, dewy, and very healthy even if I'm stressed, and it does not make my face even oilier (for real), although I find it a little pricey at P1,900.00 based on its overall performance. In conclusion, this is a more long- wearing version of a regular BB Cream as it has a better formula and longevity, but I wish it had better imperfection neutralizing properties (after all, it's a CC Cream). 'Tis pretty good for just about any skin type (specifically those with very minimal blemishes to begin with) and anyone who's looking for more hydration from an everyday liquid base.

  1. I really like the idea of H20's marine science backed products. They are a little too expensive though. And too bad the cc cream comes in only one shade, as its benefits seem to be really good.

  2. It's too expensive for a 30 ml product. :/ I have a fair skin so this shade would probably suit me. But not for morenas. I hope they release more shades soon. What I don't like about it is that it can't be a stand alone. You need to put a lot of layers to achieve the desired effect. Anyway, the other positive effects naman payoff the negative effects. But again, pricey for its size.

  3. I haven't tried any CC creams yet and not I'm not that familiar with this brand. It's not budget friendly and tube contains only 30 ml.

Melanie: There are cheaper CC Creams to try so maybe you can go for those first to know if this product is really meant for you. :)
