Lately, new Filipino brands are on the rise; quality and overall branding of the products have improved so much, thus more and more Filipinos are considering having local brands in their dressers and closets. I can't wait for the day when Filipino brands will take their rightful place in the local shopping scene. Look around you and you'll see a lot of these brands that I'm talking about, and just recently, a new, promising player in the cosmetics field has come my way and I'd like to introduce everyone to this brand.
Ladies and Gents, meet Pink Sugar, the newest, colorful, pigmented makeup brand in town.
And the best part? It's homegrown.
Pink Sugar is a drugstore makeup brand that wants to be known for its premium quality and pigmentation at a wallet- friendly price point. "We want to be the go- to brand for Filipinas who want richer textures, better color payoff, and multitasking products, all without spending a fortune" says Laveen Mirpuri, CEO for Pink Sugar.
By the way, if you know Pink Sugar Body Mist, this brand is by the same makers of that product!
I digress. I received the whole line for review and boy, I am having so much fun these past few days, swatchin' and playin' with these products, and reveling in their exciting textures and shades.
Let me do a quick product roll call:
Eye Candy Eye Shadow Palette is a 10-pc. palette featuring matte, frost, satin, and shimmer eyeshadow finishes. If you noticed, one is great for warm skin tones and the other, for cool skin tones, but I have tested both and can honestly say that they work well on any skin tone.
Honey I'm Good Eye Liner Duo features an intense liquid eyeliner and a soft kajal pencil, perfect for when you want your eye liner look to be either striking or subtle. The Kajals come in Blue, White, and Brown, giving you wider options.
Our Lil' Secret Concealer, which is one of my faves from Pink Sugar, is a full coverage concealer that comes in 4 shades and will conceal late night partying.
It's Awesome BB Cream, a BB Cream that adheres very nicely on the skin, comes in 4 shades that feature Olive, Neutral, Yellow, and Pink undertones.
Don't like liquid bases? Then go for Pink Sugar Dual Finish Face Powder instead; It can be used wet or dry with a sponge that has two sides: for full coverage and for light coverage. The powder range features 5 shades.
Sugar Tint, my top pick from the brand, is a HIGHLY pigmented range that colors your lips and cheeks. It comes in 5 tropical shades. A Purple lip and cheek tint? YASSS.
Sweet Cheeks, a contouring, highlighting, and cheek color line features 8 products; finishes range from shimmer to matte.
Pink Sugar's lipsticks are classified into two variants: Creamy Matte and HD. Creamy Matte has 10 shades and HD has 14 shades; the spectrum of colors is quite impressive as there are vampy shades to pastels and berries to neon pinks.
Sneak peek of my upcoming swatches!
Pink Sugar's products begin at P299.00 and the most expensive is P699.00. The products are now readily available in SM Department Stores and Watsons stores. Just visit PINK SUGAR on Facebook to know more about the brand and their locations.

ReplyDeleteThese look amazing and it has been so cool seeing so many local brands. I think I would love the cheek palette and lipsticks as that's what I'm obsessed. It also reminds me of Makeup Revolution a little bit with the packaging.
