THE VERDICT:
Wunderbrow is one of those beauty products that spread like wildfire on the Internet. Left and right, videos, testimonials, tutorials, and blog posts about Wunderbrow kept on sprouting like mushrooms sometime around 2-3 years ago. Just last year, the brand has finally reached the Philippines. The product is Wunderbrow, but the brand that owns it is called Wunder2.
I was able to try out the famous Wunderbrow Brow Gel and also one of their eyebrow products, Wunderbrow D-Fine.
Indeed, the hype on Wunderbrow Brow Gel is real and more than the staying power, I'm smitten by its finish!
Wunder2 is a brand from the UK. Wunderbrow Brow Gel, the most popular product, is a long- lasting brow gel with the unique Permafix gel technology, the secret to its waterproof, extra long- lasting formula. It comes in 4 shades.
Wunderbrow D-Fine is an automatic brow pencil with a complementing tinted gel on the end. The pencil promises smooth application and the soft hold gel has hair fibers infused with Permafix Gel technology that sets it into a waterproof, long- lasting finish. It comes in 4 shades.
Wunderbrow Dual Precision Brush features a synthetic precise angled brush with a spoolie. Can be used with Wunder Brow Brow Gel and with any other brow product.
Wunderbrow Brow Gel has a unique brush applicator. It's not the usual applicator for a liquid brow product; I've never used something like this so I had to practice with it, and thankfully, I can now use it with ease. The brush applicator is just a little intimidating in the beginning and takes some getting used to, but the good thing is the product seems to work really well with it. Product and packaging that complement each other make for an easy to learn product.
Here's the dual precision brush; soft, flexible, yet sturdy. It's meant for Wunderbrow Brow Gel; purchase it along with the Brow Gel if you're not feeling the brush applicator. It's very versatile and travel- friendly too.

Brow Gel in Black Brown is a medium ashy brown. Consistency is a light cream liquid and color payoff is gradual, allowing you to customize your brow look better. When applied, it starts to dry up at the 3rd minute, giving you enough time to blend it properly and remove smudges.
D-Fine in Black Brown is a dark brown shade. Finish is soft matte and is very pigmented so use a light hand. The brow gel is a lightly tinted gel in a warm brown shade, but since there are hair fibers, it also provides additional volume.

It took me a lot of control to create this natural look because as I said, the product is very pigmented. Pigmentation may be a bit hard to control, but the soft matte finish lends that desired naturalness to the look.
With soft hold gel
The gel provides a light hold. Since there's the presence of hair fibers in the gel, you can use it on its own to define and set brows.
The pencil, if used on its own, will only last for a couple of hours, but if you want it to last significantly, set it with the soft hold gel.

Upon application, you may notice that the gel will cling onto hair strands; just comb it out before it sets; this only happens in the beginning due to the consistency of the product, but in general, it does not clump.
TIP: Want that shadowy brow look? Apply Wunderbrow Gel on your brow concentrating on the center and comb towards to the edge and tail of the brows until the product is evenly distributed and you start seeing the shadowy look.
Black Brown is a really nice shade! The ash tone is perfect for the shadowy brow look plus it's quite universal and can fit a range of Filipina skin tones.
When it comes to staying power, hands down, this one is super long- lasting and also waterproof! Took it to Crossfit and swimming, and it did not budge! Have you seen Wunderbrow Brow Gel videos where the vloggers are rubbing their brows vigorously to test the product's promise? I tried that myself and true enough, it did not budge!
To remove the product, there is a special Wunderbrow Brow Gel makeup remover, but you can easily remove it with cleansing oil. Just make sure to remove every trace of the brow gel (it's very persistent and can leave traces on your skin even after oil cleansing) before sleeping.
Both brow products are great, perfect for oily skin, and our scorching hot weather! Wunderbrow has a brow game of their own! D-Fine is a great brow product and ideal for those with sparse brows. Between the two, I love Wunderbrow Brow Gel: despite the learning curve, it's easy to get used to, staying power is amazing, and most of all, it gives you stylish brows!

ReplyDeleteLet me first say, I think any brow product that was given to you ang ganda ng kinalalabasan regardless pa kung mura o mahal, pigmented or hindi..pak talaga ang Million Dollar Brows Ms. Martha.
ReplyDeleteAnyways, any woman na may Kilay Goals would love to have this brow product..may forever eh! Pero, yun lang sa budget magkakatalo. Pero ang quality naman winner talaga! Pag yan ang gamit may karapatan ka magtaas ng kilay! Lol.
I have watched a review/vlog of this , hindi ko nga lang maalala kung sino pero when I watched that vlog. Nakita ko talaga na maganda tong wunder brow. Long lasting talaga.
ReplyDeleteI have tried a brow tattoo gel ibang brand sya. Iba yung product na to when it comes to long lasting. Very promising.
I'm a bit scared of using brow products in liquid form because of its pigmentation. I sometimes suck at putting such products on my brow because sometimes I lose control and I'm ending up messing the whole thing. Love that feathery eyebrow look Ms. Martha. This is quite pricey for a brow product but most of the time I trust the quality of expensive products. :D

ReplyDeleteI love Wuderbrow whenever I hit the beach, it will not let you down. My kilay ka pa din talaga after! I love it also especially on long-haul days which I need to be outside, it's really heat/sweat/rain proof hahaha The only downside is the brush, I don't use them I use my own angled brush
ReplyDeleteeto n ang sagot sa mga kilay goals natin, panlaban din sa summer specially kapag mag swimming tayo. di na tyo mag alala na mabubura agad ang mga brows ntin while on the beach. ok lang kahit pricey basta sulit namn pagdating sa effect. gnda dn ng tone nya.
